As a Gills Fan, was delighted with Saturdays result. But Port Vale buying 16 players....it's heading for disaster, as one manager once said, you build a team around a core of players from last season.

I know turnover is naturally higher in the lower leagues but there seems to be more clubs than normal that have made 15-20 signings. Think the ones who kept that core together may have an advantage in this first few months of the season.
