Today he is Hon Gen. Edward Wamala Katumba, MP and State Minister for Works. Before this he was Chief of Defence Forces and earlier on, Inspector General of Police.
But on Independence Day in 1995 he commanded the colourful parade in Fort Portal, Tooro, as this rich historical clip confirms.

Hi all africans.i saw good things in you.you worked hard to succeed at that point,ugandans are looking good.the only problem I saw also in Africa is financial problem.i saw Africans are able to succeed also ,but when it comes to finances everything fall apart,they can't go no where again.all the african's wealth went somewhere else,not in Africa .what to do to bring back the african's wealth that has been stolen by others ?can you work hard also for this?Africans children are so poors more than all other chlidren in this world.Thank you and God bless you and bless Uganda/Africa.God loves you.
