I just bought this set....I can hardly wait for it to come. I do have a pattern that calls for a chunkier needle but a short cable for working the sleeve cuff...these needles look long....wondering how this will work??
Oh how exciting, Barbara! I know you are going to love this interchangeable needle set. There is a short cable, but I don't think it's quite short enough for cuffs. I just got these today and love them! I had bought several of their circular needles which introduced me to this wonderful line. I know I won't want to use any other needle now. My question is that my cord keeps getting twisted. Is this normal with interchangeable needles?
Hi Sandy, Ohhh...you treated yourself to a very fine set of needles! As for the cables, yes they arrive really twisted when you get them. Here's how I fix this. Fill a bowl with HOT water from the tap. Place the cables (without the needles attached!) in the hot water for 3-5 minutes. You'll be able to see them loosen up! Then remove them from the water and immediately run them under COLD tap water. This will set the needles. While I'm running them under the cold water, I also gently stretch and straighten them. Dry them thoroughly and you should be good to go! 😀

Hi Sierra, If you don't feel like you are slipping and sliding with your knitting then stick with metal needles. However, if you feel like you need a bit more control, I'd recommend wood, plastic, or bamboo needles. I wouldn't worry about breaking these Knitter's Pride Dreamz. Hi Susan, When you purchase interchangeable knitting needle sets, they usually include a cable to create a 16" length. Other than that, there is no way to shorten or lengthen a standard circular knitting needle. You'll need to purchase a 16" needle in the size required to complete your project successfully.

Is there a way to make the cable shorter? I want to make hats and need a 16 inch length.

Other than that, there is no way to shorten or lengthen a standard circular knitting needle. You'll need to purchase a 16" needle in the size required to complete your project successfully.
