Thank you Swati ji and Ravi ji for taking up the first of my two questions. Your response will help me refine my thinking on this strategy. I agree that it is high maintenance strategy and so may not be suitable for everyone. I feel though that your scenario of corpus of 33 times annual exp and 60-40 debt: equity allocation is also high maintenance as it needs annual rebalancing. So I feel strategies to be adopted will also depend on individual aptitude. Thanks again for such a stimulating series of discussions. I hope my second question will also be taken up in one of the subsequent sessions.

I 10000% agree with Ravi. I am doing similar things with my Excel sheet, and I found out that SWP is not a magic formula that people are selling on TH-cam. This can be very dangerous for retirees if they invest 70% to 100% in equity when you are in your retirement phase, you have to be extremely cautious about your SWP approach. Unfortunately, on TH-cam, to get more views, finfluencers are suggesting that once you put all your money in equity, you can use SWP for the rest of your life. Thank you very much, Swatiji, for bringing Raviji on your channel. I found he is the only one on TH-cam who is giving the right advice. GOD BLESS 🙏

@@Shon_29, you are right. But if you buy a running goddam, it will be an asset for a lifetime and after. There is no worry about negative returns. It's your decision. Depending on market conditions, you can lower the prices or raise them. And in India, as all other prices are increasing, its price will also increase. and then you can work up other assets like the madam told. Earning the first crore is the challenge I believe, after that it is a smooth journey. Also who told you to buy all in white??

    "retirement calculation with 25x."
inflation 6 . debt return 6 to 7 just enough to beat inflation.( eg short duration funds) put 20-21x in debt.
put 4-5x in large cap conservative 9 pct return over 21 years.
27 to 29 years of retiremnt life.
if we draw x per year increasing with inflation and getting a min return of inflation plus .5 . balance corpus lasts around 22 years.( any draw down calculator with return and inflation rates )
while 4/5x @9 pct in 21 year will be about 30x. (may be more). put this in debt like abv than to last about 6-7 years.
    28 year of funding.
    eg. 24 lakh pa starting expense corpus = 25 x 24lakh = 6cr
put 5cr in debt at about 6.5 pct it will last 22 years with 24 lakh pa plus inflation drawings.
by that time 1 cr in equity22 years @9 pct will be 6.6 cr. which then put in debt will last around 7 years.
29 years total. risk will b if surviving beyond age89.
but luck if equity return is more than 9.

33 times 24 Lakhs nearly 8 Crores of corpus in hand.
It's like 100% of India's population is becoming Millionaires in Dollars terms.
As on date, in India, less than 0.20% of the population are Dollar Millionaires. Globally, it is less than 3% of the World population.
Even if you consider inflation of 6%, then though it would not be enough money to be a US Dollars Millionaire after 20 years, with 8 Crores, it will still be a hell lot of money. Even at 50% erosion in money's value (Not likely), he is saying that you would have 4 Croes ! Half a Millionaire. 100% of India.

Bhai jab proof hi nahi hai toh kya hi hoga. Example ke liye pehle jyada tar kaam brokers ke through hota tha. Sab hisaab kitaab unhi logo ke pass hota tha. Ab agar aap apne papa ke friends ya circle mai pta karwao ki how he used to manage his shares fir aap pta kar sakte ho. Kyuki brokers jyadatar khud hi sell kar dete hai(bad practice in the industry) but iske ilawa koi tareeka nahi hai.
And sorry for your loss bhai.
