- This was the most adventurous journey of the Spiti tour, We started from Chandratal at 7 am and reached Manali at 9 pm, Day was very tiresome but full of excitement, i saw some of the most beautiful waterfalls on the way, rough roads full of adventure.

This is the last episode of our Spiti Journey, the entire journey was so amazing, a uniqueness of this tour was the dynamics get change wherever we have gone.

In this episode, you will see the exciting journey from Chandratal to Manali,
While on our way to Manali from Chandratal (140 km Hope you will enjoy this episode.
The terrain was off road. We come across many water streams, some of the water streams are very difficult to cross.
In Chandratal we stayed at UC camps (spiti expedition), we paid Rs 1500 per person, toilet attached, I saw other camps too, one of the name was Parasol Camps - Rs 5500 double occupancy. Chandratal is located at 14000 ft.
Then we proceeded to manali, we took a stop at Chacha Chachi Dhaba at Batal (15km from Chandratal). In this route there are not many eateries option. Earlier there was only Chacha Chachi dhaba in batal now some other dhabas are also there. We enjoyed the Aloo paratha & Omelete
There is also Govt. lodge mainly it is for Govt. employees, however if any tourist request to stay can stay there. Near the Dhaba we enjoyed the view of Chandra River from the Batal Bridge.
Another food option will be at Chhatru, which is around 17 km from Batal. (Batal to Chhatru - Water streams are manageable). However Chhatru to Gramphoo water streams are very dangerous, many expert drivers are even takes longer time to cross the stream Locals named it as “Pagal Nala” It is advisable to cross the pagal nala early morning, as the flow is lesser in morning, as day passes the flow of the stream gets stronger, hence becomes difficult to cross.
If you come to Batal from Manali via Atal Tunnel - 87 km & if you come via Rohtang - 125 km
CAmps in
The road from Batal to Gramphoo is completely off road, full of scenic views, which makes this journey adventurous & beautiful. Gramphoo you will see the diversion, for Rohtang & Atal Tunnel.
Atal tunnel is around 9 km long which reduces the time & travel distance.
Late evening we reached Manali.

Thanks Harish ji for such a good series on Spiti. I am a regular viewer of your channel. In today's episode you have mentioned Chaha-Chachi Dhaba and also introduced them to us. Before watching your video, I was reading the Times of India (Kolkata Edition) and one article has attracted my attention. The recent bad weather in the hills left many tourists and trekkers stranded at different places in Himachal Pradesh and Uttrakhand. Some 80 people including 59 tourists stranded at Batal and the Team of Chacha-Chachi came to their rescue and provided the stranded tourists with meals for five days till the District Administration rescued them. For this the District Administration honoured them. SALUTE TO CHACHA-CHACHI FOR DOING THIS SELFLESS JOB TIME AND AGAIN. We need more people like them in the society.

Humbled by the struggle of these pahadi people.Going there for sightseeing for couple of days is fun but staying there throughout especially in winters is huge challenge.Inspite of all the adversities these people are never complaining and moreover smiling and welcoming tourists,is a greatest gesture.

This episode surpassed all previous ones! The warmth exuded by the adorable Chacha Chachi, the first hand account of the hard life of the gaddi shepherds, the scary Pagal Nullah, but above all, the beautiful scenery, the fresh air and memories you would be carrying home.
It is not easy traversing such landscapes where life is harsh and nature can be beautiful yet unforgiving.

Spiti series is by far the best series of visa2explore channel. It has everything, from breathtaking scenic views to local cultural exploration to local food, everything was captured so beautifully. It will be very difficult for harishji to surpass the quality of this series in upcoming future series. Overall tremendously enjoyable series indeed. Hello Harish Sir, I was thinking to plan spiti and I remembered that you already covered this. I and my wife binge watched entire series. I follow a lot of travel bloggers but I must say, I have never seen someone maintaining a child like enthusiasm throughout a journey of 15 days. Your excitement on finding a new waterfall or a small river, shines in your eyes, you are simply awesome.. By the end of 15th episode, we were feeling heavy heart as if our journey is ending and we are returning to our regular life..

Traveling is not about the destination. It is not about the journey, either. It is about changing the way we see the world.
The solo traveler is more likely to experience one of the joys of life on the road: encounters with strangers.
Traveling isn’t supposed to be easy. Traveling solo forces, you to tap into reservoirs of resourcefulness you didn’t know you had. We travel to stretch ourselves, and stretching is best done alone.

After watching the last episode of a superb series, is when one comes closest to feeling the sweet sorrow of parting (for example) how the parent must feel when their daughter leaves the house after marriage, or a friend must feel when another travels abroad or how we all felt on the last day of school/college. And when the series as superb as this one (which we have been relishing these past few weeks), this sorrow becomes deeper and more poignant. Saying goodbye is never easy, but seeing and hearing Harishji end another superb series with a last 'Thanx for your time!" is soooo much more difficult to get over. Fortunately, due to TH-cam we can relive these experiences again and again and for this I would like to also thank TH-cam :)
Harish ji .. I have exhausted my vocabulary now and will retry to praise your for this series, if I come back as Shashi Tharoor in another lifetime. For now, all I will say is that this series is right up there with the best, like the CharDham Yatra series. The Gaumuk episode is my all time favorite and ANY episode on this series can easily hold its own against that episode.
