Melody isn't wearing a kimono, she's wearing a chinese hanfu! All the outifts and accesories are actually chinese. The fans that kuromi and melody are holding are called Tuanshan, japanese people don't have such fans theirs are more pleated and oval in shape, where chinese fans are much rounder and flatter.

OMGGGGGG, I LOVE WHAT THEY DID WITH CINNAMOROLL IN THIS RHYME FLOWER BLIND BOX, HE LOOKS SO ADORABLE WITH THE BUTTERFLY DETAILS 🥺🌸🦋!!!!! AHHHHHHHHHH (I would feel the same way as well if I had something like that for Cinnamoroll ). Kuromi and My Melody are so one of the kinds with that kinda figure design.
