    Painting the tweeter is very easy. And to find the correct lens makes a difference

    Zip ties on those resistors is asking for trouble when you crank up the power, they will melt. Also lift the resistors up and away from that board to get some air flow around them.

    The only thing I was not happy with is the grill. The top of the grill should follow the same level as the top of the cabinet and not just out like that and the glass should be smoked finish with rounded edges so you don’t cut your hands. I have quite a few pieces of smoke glass here.
    I read your choice for the minds and highs as well. There are a lot of parts on eBay.
    Overall marks, I’d give it a 8/10. I really like the light finish.

    We would love to hear them, please do a follow-up with some audio of the speakers. If you had to use a currently available 15 inch woofer (not those used in your project) what would you pick? A high $ choice and a budget model if you can provide it, thanks.

      I will do the demo when i have time, and for the woofer i don't know, maybe something from TAD.

    Sorry another question. Have you thought about doing a sound demo on TH-cam ? female vocal or acoustics, would love to hear. I know its not the same as hearing in real life, but you do get a sense of bass/tone/voice.

      I want to doit, but how to not get copyright?

      @@Marin199511 I have done it a few times, I just played a cd track, no problems. I think when you do it, the system will tell you if you are doing copyright. Just try it and see, you can't do any harm.

    Fantastic job, I am embarking on building the L300 with Nelson Pass crossover and original drivers. I have to ask, what made you change the compression and tweeter driver to the D250-x Hl 14-25 and beyma cp21/F ? Also have you listen to the original L300 and compared it to your version ? if so what did you find ? I am very interested in finding out and to see if I decide to change things like you. The risk is whether how much of the JBL L300 sound changed ? Please let me know, thanks.

      Thank you, I have not listen to original L300, it is impossible to find where i live. I can send you a email with crossover for the beyma, d250, and 2235H. The sound for me is perfect, very good bass, natrual midrange and very sweet highs.

      @@Marin199511 Yes thank you much appreciated. Can I ask also if the CP21/F is 8ohms or 16ohms? because both are available on Ebay. The D250 is much harder to find so is the 2235H, but I have time. Thanks look forward to your email. Alain

    We’re those oem or aftermarket 2235h cones?

    • @robpeters5204
      @robpeters5204 ปีที่แล้ว

      I’m assuming it’s aftermarket because it going to be next to impossible to find any OEM cones that has its original foam surround.
      The aftermarket’s are very well made. I use them on a lot of my recone jobs. I’ve don’t thousands of recone jobs since I first got bitten by the electronic bug back in the early 80’s.
