Question... did you just watched the anime or did you read the manga? bc if your talking about just anime than I understand but the manga Tamaki and Haruhi has way better build up Imo also the anime doesn't really cover the full story of the manga it only covers a bit so I can see why people would think that way Manga >>>>>> Anime
Me personally has always been a tamaharu shipper from both anime and manga but after watching the anime I can understand why people don’t like the ship and ship hikaharu but after finishing the anime and reading the manga to see if I would switch up and ship hikaharu I think it was the right and best decision for tamaharu to be canon no hate to hikaharu tho but like I said in the manga tamaharu has so much development together and they understand each other very much ➕ the anime doesn’t cover the full story of the manga in the manga what made me not really think that hikaharu was going to work is when Hikaru confessed to Haruhi and she turned him down yet he still tried and kept going it was kind of like he was trying to force her to like him and he didn’t respect her feelings at all when she keep turning him down unlike Tamaki who actually respected her and understood her the most and her struggles despite his personality but I respect your opinion I just don't think hikaharu is right for each other
