My Mother always told me: "Kill them with kindness, but make sure that they're dead". Made me laugh. Being kind just throws all those haters Off. They really don't know how to respond.

That was the perfect response to the haters. I can think of so many times over the years when I was afraid to be the best version of myself as I knew I'd get comments said in a negative way.

I'm a Dale Carnegie instructor and sometimes my participants ask me what to say to comments like these. I always advise giving honest sincere appreciation toward their hater for "noticing." Maintaining your own poise, class and self respect will take you far. Thank you Myka for making timely videos to elevate our everyday lives!!! 🥰🥰🥰

I once went to go to work more polished than normal, I just wanted to. A coworker said "are you going to a wedding or something?" I said "no, why?". He insisted: Well, because you look so elegant and different!"
I smiled and said thank you.
It took me a few seconds to understand that he was trying to make me feel bad, I genuinely thought he was being nice... and I spoiled it for him haha
Since then, I always answer in the same way to that kind of comments.

How would you address a situation where it may be a superior at work? I once had a boss who was very rude and disrespectful to me (others said she was jealous, but I hadn't done anything to make her feel that way). I have never been able to show animosity towards people who are rude, as I prefer to keep the peace, but this usually ends up causing me great distress. With social situations I can choose to remove myself from the environment, but with work, I have no choice.

Exactly..Kindness is the answer. It's often THEIR insecurities: if you do well, they feel they need to step up and work on themselves too and that is frustrating and like a threat to them.

Thank you so much for this inspiring video. You know I will try this appreciative response to passive aggressive people but sometimes they’re not passive about it at all . Once I was told at a meeting that I have “ resting bitch face “ this by a manager in front of the owner who both laughed at me while saying it . I was so shocked by the unprofessional atmosphere and how unfunny it was but in the end just said well I hadn’t noticed I’ll try to work on it . I have left the company ofcourse but I’d like to know how to react to such blatant aggressive behavior. Another time at the same company I was asked my nationality and when I told them I was told “ no your not Italian “ or “ are you sure “ and again I laughed and said I’m sure but see what I mean . Apologies for the long post but this behavior follows me around a lot .

Switch tactics and say something light to gently laugh at yourself, then you're untouchable. Everyone else in the room will have seen between the lines by then and the offender would show pure stupidity to go in for dig #3.

You need to give tips to Edos ex Dara. She has done nothing but hate on Princess Beatrice. Calling her a homewrecker and selling pictures to radar online of your own godson. That is breaking a lot of “etiquette”. Disgusting pair you both are

2:00 from my own weight loss - it took 3-4 months to lose 16-18kg (end of 2012) and be in shape. The mental adjustment curve took me far longer than the physical change.
If you've been in prison a long time then suddenly get your freedom - it'll take a while to get used to your new normal.
As a side note - with men you literally become 'less of a man'. You notice a difference in your 'physical presence' perception by others. I consider that a downside I'll take.
