the only challenge with that formula...which is just a base formula..you have to insert self employment taxes, your home expenses plus your business expenses..examine your budget carefully. This is a totally virtual and remote biz so your biz overhead is very low. then price your services. it helps if you have financial support but if you dont, you have to strategically price your services to eventually cover your home and biz expenses and pay yourself. The money you earn in your business belongs to the buisness not you. great video! thank you for sharing!
Can you please make a video on how cleanups and backlogs are done, is there any systematic steps to follow or we should just bump in and start with reconciliation and categorizations . I’ll be glad to hear your view on this
Thank you so much. I've been watching your bookkeeping videos and I've learned a lot since I also want to become an online bookkeeper. How do you handle that number of clients yourself? Like how many hours do you do the bookkeeping per client in a month? Thank you😀
What sort of business will pay $100-300/hr for bookkeeping tasks. If it only takes that little of an amount of time, the business couldn't be that big. And it has to be a biz where owners are not likely to just say they'll do it themselves. Thanks!
I wish to Start off with a Medium Wave Radio Frequency of Four Books of Friendship for Bookkeeping business so kindly suggest a suitable plan for me to start upon
Certainly. Here's a suggested plan for starting your bookkeeping business: Business Plan: Outline your business goals, target market, services offered, pricing structure, and marketing strategies. Legal Structure: Decide on the legal structure (sole proprietorship, LLC, etc.) and register your business accordingly. Brand Identity: Create a professional business name, logo, and website to establish your brand. Services and Pricing: Define the bookkeeping services you'll offer (e.g., monthly reconciliation, financial reporting, tax preparation) and set competitive pricing based on market research and your skills. Client Contracts: Develop clear and comprehensive client contracts outlining services, terms, and payment details. Technology Setup: Choose suitable accounting software and tools for efficient bookkeeping. Familiarize yourself with them. Marketing: Utilize online platforms and social media to promote your services. Networking events and local business directories can also help. Client Acquisition: Reach out to your existing network, friends, and family. Offer introductory rates to attract initial clients. Quality Service: Deliver exceptional service to your first clients to build positive testimonials and word-of-mouth referrals. Scaling: As your business grows, consider expanding services, hiring additional help, and adjusting your pricing strategy. Remember, each business is unique, so tailor these steps to your specific circumstances and goals. Best of luck with your bookkeeping business!

@bookkepping expert , is there a chance we could work on together as a sub - contractor , I am based in south Africa and I could offer services at very affordable. How can I reach out to you?
@@BookkeepingExpert It would be nice to know how your price these services. I assume the difference between a $200 and $400 client would be amount of transactions, bank accounts, etc... To see it broken down a little would be cool. Could title it, "How to Price Book Keeping Services" or something like that.
If you are charging 300$ does that mean I’m overpricing my services since I just started? Cos I charge 300$ flat rate and a lose of 250$ depending on nature of clients business. And I just started. Yet to get my first client

@@BookkeepingExpert how easy are we talking though ? Like how much of a jump is 400 to 500 as far as difficulty of the clients business ? Also, how do you deal with the membership of the client for quick books ? Do you just eat the cost yourself ? Or tell the client they’re going to have to pay for the membership.
@@BookkeepingExpert also thank you for your videos. In the process of starting my own biz. I have name, logo down. Just in the works of getting an actual certificate and qbpro certificate for credibility and just have to work on my site.
No one is hiring someone to do their books if they have no education in bookkeeping let alone no experience. Also, getting clients isn't as easy as saying I want two clients per month. But, prove me wrong. Show me your work. How did you get these clients and where are they located?

My base rate is $350.
Overcharging is relative and depends on how much work needs to be done. Every client is different
Is that $300 for one month's worth of bank statement posting or qbo?

I would just charge minimum 500/ month
Not a terrible idea, but you might lose out on some easy money from small clients who might have hired you for $300 or $400
