Bittersweet as we buried my dad today but it was so nice seeing so many people there to pay their respects before laying him to rest next to his parents
Glad you enjoyed. the Cotswolds .The Valtra demonstration looked good I would think actually. Think there a decent tractor You was talking about the NFU they are a farmers insurance company there probably the best at paying out and there legal side is very good have a great time at the Cheshire ploughing. Match feeling 96% today another excellent video Ollie
You definitely need to go back to the Cotswolds. My parents live and work in the area, next time your up that way check out Hidcote Manor (my mum works). My dad Produces and sells fire wood to the local area. Hope you had a great time there
Tractor insurance in Ireland is amazing compared to the cars situation, I was driving my 390t for €220 and a 6r 165 with full contractors and implement insurance for €950
It's got a fergie steering wheel 😆. Mind you all the tractors nowadays come from the same stables or parts box any way 🤣 . Liked our old volvo bm valmet it was a tank... wouldn't mind a 2105 next to my ford 8730 though. Cracking work on the vids as always and editing 👌 👍🏻. Stay safe 🏴
Great vid as always. Always good too see people enjoying the area I live in. Let me know when you’re next down and Il see if I can get the fountain on for you. My dad is the head gardener at Stanway house
Hi Ollie, hope you enjoyed the break away, what are the bar axles on some of the tractors for I've seen them on plenty of tractors but I've never known there purpose? Thanks again for taking the time out of your busy days to make such interesting videos top job as always 👌
Can’t speak for the NFU but NFUS became a satellite branch of the TFA and seemed like they were only concerned with tenants issue. Which sadly in the end has ruined the tenant sector in Scotland in my opinion. This is just my opinion though.
As a farm worker, tried the NFU for an insurance quote for my car, they were way above other companies and didn’t want to know/help me as I wasn’t farm addressed or a farmer… so useless for workers..
I am a farmer and we have taken car and truck insurance away from the NFU because they are way above other companies, so I don’t think it’s a farmer bias.
It would be great if the NFU came clean on their position on Red Tractor and got out of it and realised how much it costs farmers and how unfair and unjust it is. Get it scrapped😊
Nfu are good. But there charges on insurance are to high especially when you’ve been with them most of your farming life or all of your farming life. And I really think they ought to give concessions to farmers children for insurance because it’s ridiculous that they can’t insure them till they’re over 25. Plus as a ex chairman of our local Nfu they don’t back themselves enough to fight for what’s right for us farmers. Sometimes changing thing up is good. Don’t be a follower in the field be ahead of it.
I'd sooner pay a little more for insurance with the NFU but know that it's worth something when it's needed. Going cheap can be a costly false economy.
We have valtra's at work, they're an OK tractor but I'm a Fendt man through and through (first tractor I ever drove) so to me, they're like the old VW advert, like a VW but not a VW, so like a Fendt but not a Fendt, they do however look cool. As for NFU, I'm only a herd manager so can't really comment much, but anything that can help to push a positive farming image/attitude to the general public is a good thing. About 80% today, seem to be taking more on at work, yet getting less and less done and feeling a bit burnt out but thankfully got a week off next week. Would like to go to the ploughing match but it's vet and jabbing day so won't be able to.
@@OllyBlogsAgricontractfarmer Not such a joke, Head of Forestry Commission, now renames at what cost, stated that future felling would be done by automatic harvesters and forwarders run by young graduates in offices because no one wants to get down and dirty nowadays. Probably fairly accurate as regards graduates! Perhaps that is why they want to turn nice flat farmland into forests. I would love to see a radio controlled harvester or forwarder work on our precipitous slopes.
I know you are a great suporter of the nfu I have insured all my businesses and vehicles with them for over 40 years but now i have gone to an other company and come my renewals will be getting quots elsewhere I was quoted over £2000 for a car insurance and got same for £470 i suggest they drop the mutual and insurance and stick to giving advise before the farming community realises they are far far over priced and leave the nfu
I have recently turned 16 so when I get my first tractor I will use the nfu to insure as I trust them and how many good things I here about them. Also how old do you have to be to be a member
NFU need to listen more to their grass roots members and stop pushing policies like farm assurance which is just a waste of time as it is voluntary so doesn't cover all produce, and net zero which is ridiculous as our 1% won't make a bit of difference anyway. They should be promoting us and what we produce as the best in the world
@@charlesyeo8252 not sure if you’ve watched classic simpsons or not, but “delightfully devilish” is a nod to a classic Simpsons episode where principle skinner try’s to pass off fast food as home made. Which is part of the joke here.
Use NFU for farm insurance but they are way too expensive for tractors. Not that taken with NFUS as they seem in thrall to the large scale farmers. Fell out with them over support for wind farms, climate and tree planting schemes. In fact anything they can pull in grants for as an organisation. Yes I know we are encouraged to diversify but we should be primarily farmers and be able to earn a crust from that. The rest should be fun not a necessity for survival. But then I may just be a grumpy old man!
I think Valtra’s are the best looking tractors out there 🤩
Another great video olly the Valtra tractors looking good 👍👍👍🇬🇧🏴
Great work. Videos are fantastic to keep me busy in hospital. I'd be lost without you.

Evening Olly, Valtra looked like a good day out, I think they have come along way over the years. (not a Nemo in sight in the new range).

Good vid mate, do you think you'll ever back to valtra instead of fendt? Was working 5mins up the road from the demo today 👍
Children around the world watching this “mammy….. daddy…… Olly said I could have the day off school just take me to ploughing match” 🤔😂😂😂😂

Any update on the Combine's Header?
It’s bent 🤣🤣🤣

They’ve lost the plot a bit when it comes to premiums, left them for better value for money.
I'd sooner pay a little more for insurance with the NFU but know that it's worth something when it's needed. Going cheap can be a costly false economy.
How would joining the NFU benefit a smaller farmer, do you know.
Dont know if you found out what that box was but im pretty sure its a sub woofer
Do you like the New valtra tractor. Good video 👍 80% . What do the NFU do.
Was nice yes

Did the solar panel cleaning make any difference?
Yes lots
iPhone camera is 30hz or 60hz while the screen is 50hz. Which is why the shuttering effect is going on the tractor screen

wearing a fendt coat at a valtra event, delightfully devilish.
Not really fendt and Valtra are both owned by agco and the vario gearboxes in the valtra is a fendt made gearbox.

Wouldn’t your auto steer remove to fun of the tractor?
Nfu came up with red tractor, great that they let grain come into the uk and sell it as assured,no benefit to the Uk farmer whatsoever.🤬
I don't know why,but i always considered Valtra in between tractor brands as Dacia at cars, lmao.
I never liked it.
There super reliable and from same stable as fendt

When the Elon of farmers turns up we won't need humans to drive tractors any more
Can I get on the birthday bumper my birthday was September 11th I am 36 years old
Happy birthday
One man one vote and removing none farming interests from NFU membership might encourage me to join.
Typical farmer, wearing a competitors clothing to a demo day🤣 Wont need a driver soon on the auto up down tractor.
