    I really like the thought of this kind of a last man standing event. Like that one guy mentioned us slow guys don't get to rest much at all in a regular Backyard Ultra style event, so this kind of levels the playing field a little. I've only done a single Backyard style event which was capped to 8 laps, I was among the last to come in every lap, but I finished all of the laps. It was an eye opener and confidence booster to see that a lot of the fitter, faster, better trained guys threw in the towel ahead of me. It made me think I am stronger mentally then I give myself credit for.

      They also could be cheaters and look cool but have a weak heart . It’s an easy sign to see

    such an interesting & fun race! in 2020, i did the 1x1x24 challenge & when i finished, i was pretty exhausted. can't imagine running a mile every 15 minutes! well done

    This is a really great idea. I should set one of these up at my old high school for a fundraiser. I'm an ultramarathon runner so I think I might be able to pull it off.

    I think it is more challenging, as it leaves much less time to nap, eat, drop a deuce and so on.

    Jamil, maybe I could be one of your 25-30 participants next year. I’ll have to see how the Nordic ski season begins and of its another lousy one, I’ll keep to running onto the winter months.

    This looks like an absolute blast, I'd LOVE to try this... the atmosphere, outfits, and emphasis on stubbornness as opposed to speed... except... is that a PAVED loop? Definitely not doing it on pavement! 😆

      Some paved, some on gravel (decomposed granite).

    1 mile = 1,6 km. 15 minutes for 1,6 km means 9,4 min/km pace. That means walking.

      Yeah, you can walk if you'd like but that means you'd literally have to keep walking with no breaks. If I were to run it, I'd want at least a couple minutes to stop moving the legs.

      I know this is an old post but I'm training for a similar last man standing event in Georgia. My preference is to alternate 1 minute of jogging and 1 minute of walking. This puts me at about a 12 minute mile which gives me 3 minutes to eat, drink, use the restroom, and rest.

    Im always jealous of people who can run ultras. I have a skin condition that causes my hands and feet to never form calluses, so my feet are usually destroyed after 20 miles max.

      Get that mole skin and figure out where it starts . Lotion is good too and superglue in emergencies
