I prefer the 2018 movie however I think this is a good movie and a good final for the series the Halloween franchise had multiple times it could have ended the franchise could have stopped at Halloween 2 or H2o
@@gkroll8467 There are countless movies with asshole female and male characters that were made long before now its only become more noticeable now because words like Woke are now popular in the cultural zeitgeist.
God bless Jamie Lee Curtis, but this woman sounds like she could talk your ear off for days. I feel like it takes her a considerable amount of willpower just to keep her mouth closed and listen to what the other guys are saying, like you can actually hear her straining to keep quiet. Is no wonder she's such an awesome actress.
@SceneMissingFilms Ooh whoa....I respectfully disagree. She might not be the most beautiful or engaging actress, but she is believable in the roles she takes on. I don't feel like she's "acting", but that she IS whatever character she is playing.
Why Jamie Lee didn't come up with the idea of making 4-6 all Laurie's nightmare to show her fractured psyche so that Laurie could still have Jamie as a seventeen-year-old always worried about her is beyond me. Summing them up as if to continue from them in the beginning just to have Laurie wake up screaming RIGHT from Loomis screaming when the Thorn tattoo appears on his wrist...she imagined HIM as the hero protecting her daughter because the last she saw of him he had saved HER twice. Seriously, whoever they decided Jamie's dad was could easily just be dead, the Carruthers could be the family who befriended Laurie when she went into hiding with Rachel as her assistant and Jamie's former babysitter, and Max the Dobie could be the family dog! And everyone dies except for Laurie and Jamie and Max:)
Nice share. Nice commentary. Love Curtis's performance. Been catching up with all the Halloweens recently and this movie is the crappest of the bunch. Possibly worse than Resurrection, still have to do that one. 1-6 are great. Anyone?
I don't share the reverence a lot of folks have for H20, but I guess it makes my top 5. Halloween (1978) Halloween 2 (1981) Halloween 4 Halloween 2018 Halloween H20. Resurrection and Rob Zombie's remake are firmly cemented at the bottom of the barrel for me.
Lol, Na H2o isn't great but it is a good solid movie that works as a good send-off for the series' real story of Laurie vs Michael. The franchise could have easily stopped here and been fine it could have also ended at Halloween 2 but both this and H2 were good places to stop. The new Laurie trilogy though is the best overall timeline of the series in terms of execution. Halloween Resurrection is awful and wastes the potential created by this reboot Halloween 3 is a good movie as its own thing Halloween 4 is a solid fine slasher Halloween 5 sucks Halloween 6 theatrical cut is just an OK early 90s slasher time waster the Producers Cut is good but if you can't accept the cult plot line you will hate it. Rob Zombies movies are their own thing for people who like his work and the new Laurie Trilogy is for Curtis fans.
They most likely meant any of the movies not starring Curtis whats interesting is in recent years since doing the new Halloween trilogy Curtis has said this movie isn't that good lol.
Broooooo I’m listening to this at work and Jamie is ANNOYING. She’s talking about a lot of stuff that nobody cares about. If you don’t like to watch horror movies why star in them and why agree to do commentary for them? And it hasn’t been THAT long how do you not remember scenes from movies you were in
Jamie is over talking over people with lack of informative notes, I completely forget Sean Clark was moderating who is more knowledgable the both of them. Steve Miner has not done commentary for Friday the 13th part 2/3 but will do for this and one of the worst remakes Day of the dead 2008!
@@boomstickcritique902 oh wow that is crazy that's one of my two favorite Friday the 13th film's they are better than that day of the dead crap he made smh that's crazy
Jamie is a weird soul I don’t know any other way of putting it. She annoying as hell on this commentary. Also Carpenter never did h20 cos they didn’t want to pay up the doe and pay him the money he deserved.
I love how Jamie is terrifed of a movie she's IN! 😂 How ironic that the scream queen isn't a horror fan at all.
Nice share. Always good to hear Steve Miner go back to his "roots."

An underrated movie. Far superior to 2018. If they had the 18 mask and score there wouldn’t even be an argument as to which is the better movie

This gives me a whole new prespective on Resurrection... It was a Necessary Evil in order for H20 To be Made

I agree, I wish there was a second commentary done with Miner and Clark without JLC.
I agree, I love Jamie but my god!! I don't really understand why she was chosen for this?? shes quite annoying in this tbh

Why does Miner distance himself from Friday the 13th Parts 2 and 3 (two classic sequels - unlike this one). ...no commentaries, no nothing. WTF.
this movie is plagued with 90's Scream-initus
