      Doesnt sound that way now.... Most realistic Bolt fans know we are at least 1 more draft/year away. We are ahead of schedule. But with Miami and Denver surging this was a bad loss for the Chargers.

    As a charger fan, I liked much of what I saw from the team even in a loss. This is a rebuild year where they are overperforming on offense given the talent. The Ravens are simply the better team and the better team won.

    Chargers got soo many hold calls that Ravens didn't. Just. Need. Consistency. (or ability to challenge/fix so the game can just be fair)

    • @pbm___000
      @pbm___000 2 ชั่วโมงที่ผ่านมา

      Ravens still MIGHT'VE won -- but we can't know when refs keep Chargers out of end zone (two separate pass interference at pylon) and help Ravens into (not calling same type of holds the Chargers were called for). Either get rid of hold calls or allow them to be challengable -- refs too often miss holds that are obvious and instrumental on replay. Look they're human, can't be everywhere, I get it. But it sure feels arbitrary when Chargers (or any team) gets called for a hold that really has no affect on a play, yet holds that make a play aren't called.

      Henry beat chargers. Lamar throw liks crap -- horrible missed passes by Ravens. They won because they didn't rely on Lamar's arm. Ground attack plus lack of hold calls against Ravens changed this game and made Chargers D look inept -- refs kept Chargers out of this game. zero consistency in calls.

      @@pbm___000Lamar throws like crap? Is that your eyeball test, or do you have any numbers to back that up?
      I'd suggest heading over to any website that monitors QB stats this year and sort by some favorite categories: yards, TDs, INTs, QBR etc. You may be surprised what you see.

      @@pbm___000kiddo the refs the only thing that kept the “jv ravens” relevant. Herbert had his worst qbr, yards per pass in weeks, they couldn’t crack a buck running with the defensive leader out of the game. And Mr. Jackson broke more prime time records dogwalking your defense for an hour.

      I guess, if you leave out that the ravens were PFFs #2 OL in 2019, had the second best TE in football, best kicker in football, and the best run game (of which Lamar gets credit too tbf). But sure, the receivers were similar.
      Lamar was amazing in 2019. But we have to stop pretending like these QBs are doing it on bad rosters. Same with Mahomes in 2022. Yeah KC's receivers were bad that year. They also had a top 3 OL, the GOAT at TE, were 6th in rushing success rate, and had Andy Reid calling plays.

    Henry is doing his thing, however, Barley would have been a much better fit in this offense for disguising plays. Lamar needs to start giving Henry some dump offs in the flat.

      That is what Justice Hill is for. The only point in putting Henry to work that way is for little mix-em-ups to keep defenses on their toes, and the ravens already do that, just like occasionally they run Hill up the middle. A lot of analysts and fans assert that the ravens should be running Henry much more and have him do more, but I think they use him very efficiently most of the time and I don't see any reason to make any major changes. The pass game is more solid than it's ever been in Baltimore, and while leaning on it instead of defaulting to something more run heavy has not always resulted in a win, the success rate is promising enough that I do not begrudge Baltimore's strategy. A healthy Keaton Mitchell would do far more to add dynamism to the already mighty fine Baltimore run game than dumping off to Henry in the flats. Its speculation on my part, but I believe they want a 100% Henry in the late/post season and are willing to be conservative because they can usually lean on the passing game to pull them through. All that said Baltimore's offense is fine, the pass defense has been its Achilles heel, and Tucker being less reliable than in the recent past has made them a much less balanced team---so scrapping out close wins against bad defensive matchups like the Steelers and the Browns is where this really shows. What they are doing with Henry is like the last thing on the laundry list of tweaks that they need to make them a better more balanced team....its picking nits on the best aspect of the team.

    🤯Soooooo tired of refs affecting outcomes and rules being selectively applied! Multiple holds on Chargers -- yet Ravens not called-when obvious-on a couple huge run plays. Don't call ticky tack holding on chargers if you're not doing the same on Ravens. Pass interference is so much worse. 🤦‍♂ It just makes games feel fixed!!!!! 😞Palmer's hand was OBVIOUSLY interfered with (23-16 was score), not to mention obvious manhandling. One or two drives before Johnston were held at the pylon -- and would've changed the tone. Obvious missed calls just be fixable/challenge-able! Pass interference calls and rules are arbitrary at best. I hear ZERO CONSISTENCY by ref analysts during games in how they should be called.

    The Ravens' game @ the Giants will be an intriguing one, from the aspect that the Giants are the only NFC team to date to have beaten the Ravens with Lamar Jackson at QB.
    And, although not as bad as this season, the Giants were pretty bad back then too...
