- In this video, we have made it to Perth and it was time to go spearing with a childhood friend, launched his boat from Perth and out we went to chase Spanish Mackerel, probably one of the best eating fish there is. I will take you through what happened in this dive from our set up on the beach a couple of hours from Perth. Got close with a couple of Tiger Sharks while spearfishing which was a first for me. Schools of spanish mackerel came through and I got to secure a Spanish Mackerel which was just an awesome feeling, thanks for taking me out Wiki. We continue to show you how to cook up a delicious ceviche on the beach from fresh Spanish Mackerel. From preparing the fish to making the salsa, we'll walk you through the whole process. This is the first time we make ceviche and please if you have any good recommendations on how to prepare ceviche comment down below. Yes not wrong. I think it’s the bigger model off fish that travels south in the end off summer that we were targeting.

Yea we didn’t get a under water picture off his mackerel only his wahoo so that made the cut for the video requirements.

The tigers were new for me we usually only see one or two a year on the coast over east. More when we are a couple 100kms out we see them.
Ceviche is always a great cook up.

What you actually made is called Ika Mata and is a variation of a ceviche from the Cook Islands with the addition of the coconut milk. 👌

Enjoying your watching your vids guys. Im a Diver from Bunbury/Dalyellup. I dive mainly South West of Bunbury on mostly Tanks but do free dive up to 8m when water clear and flat. Jumbo Crays and Spearfish out deep at 30 plus meters. Check out some of my vids. Hamelin Bay is my go to area as I have spent over 20 years going down there with my Wife and 3 Kids for every year for 2 weeks mid December to Mid Jan. All the kids are now adults with partners and we now have 5 Grandchilderen and them that go down. At 59 years old Im still doing the 30m Nitrox Dives for crays and fish. The cooking part at the end is really enjoyable so please keep doing it.
