IMO, the Steam Deck would have been greatly improved with the addition of a second USB-C port on the bottom for accessories like this. Also fully featured USB4 support would have been neat.
@@FunkyHQYT That'd be a great premium ad-on for the higher priced Deck variants. I'd be okay with sticking to an LCD on the entry level models to keep the price down.
For me, having an extra power brick, being an official dock and also the ease of updating the firmware is making the price make more sense, plus I have like a €30 steam voucher so only €69 instead of €99 😅
I think the price is ok for including the charger, which I think is great. I'll have it set up on my desk and just plug it in and go. I won't have to mess with my original charger which I'll keep in my bag for charging away from my desk. Mine is in transit now.
You can also connect third party devices and peripherals like... a third party USB SNES controller per say, ALSO has the largest gaming library out of every platform in the industry's history just sayin'... Steam Deck is pretty badass... Ok, I'll stop draggin' it out. STEAM DECK DO WHAT NINTENDON'T!!!

I'd almost like to see that as an aftermarket thing too, given that they made a lot of effort to supply iFixit with replacement parts and such
