This movie was soooo heartbreaking. Monica Belluci was absolutely phenomenal. The video doesnt show the part where the angry women shaved her head, kicked her, tore her clothes apart and publicly humilianted her while the men just stood there and didnt lift a finger to help her. Very hard scene to watch. Beauty is a double edge sword and in the case of Malena, it didnt help her at all. In fact, it was her ball and chain.

Monica Bellucci's beauty and charm is unmatchable but opposed to her beauty Malena's story is really tragic and depressing. Her face tells it all, how she hides her pain with grace.

It just seems so similar, a women with unmatched beauty is considered to be a masterpiece. They are stared and objectified everywhere they go. Even on her darkest days, she considered as an object of lust. Especailly in a conservative society. No one knows anything about her, but just admire her looks. Eyes following you everywhere you go... she can never be known for her intelligence, emotions or personality. Just her outer looks. Been called a slut if she is humble and kind to everyone, and been called something else if she maintains a distance. People say it is easy for beautiful people, but actually, beauty is like a cloak which hides everything inside you good or bad.
I don’t think it’s all the time easy being pretty but at the end of the day, most people would rather be pretty than ugly. I honestly feel like the safest way to be in this world is probably average… You are basically a ghost when you are average. Not necessarily hated, but not necessarily loved. And your personality makes other people either find you prettier or uglier. You can be smart, stupid, cool, boring, etc. without people really putting a stereotype on you.
I saw something similar in my younger sister and it makes me really sad. She was such a happy, social little girl. When she grew up she turned into one of the most beautiful young women i have ever seen. I am not saying this because she's my sister, I am not nearly as beautiful as she is. Many would think she had it all but I have never seen so much hate and criticism towards someone. Especially by other women, even older women! And the men, always so inappropriate around her, even when being married and their wife standing next to them. People would always nitpick everything about her, things they would never do to me for example! Sadly, this has transformed her a lot and now at 21 she is so extremely insecure, her fire is gone. She even thinks of herself as quite ugly and doesn't want to leave the house most of the time. Of course everyone is different but we as women should support each other instead of tearing each other down, this kind of critics can do a lot of damage especially in very young girls. This movie breaks my heart.

Its heartbreaking how this parallels to even the Indian society, a women no matter how pretty she is, she is only respected, appreciated and seen or admired correctly when she has a husband. A pretty widowed woman is pryed by the lustful eyes of men and jealous women everywhere, its as if her existence is only valuable if she is chained down to a man. it tells a lot about how society percieves beauty. It is fairly easy for average looking women but pretty women have to bear the brunt. Men think that only the husband being alive is stopping him from defiling her and he will respect that boundary that is he will respect the husband, but if she is alone widowed or unmarried men think its their right to make her "his" like an object. I feel bad for pretty women, hated and berated no matter if they are kind or not

Relying on the kindness of strangers
Tying cherry knots
Smiling, doing party favours
Put your red dress on, put your lipstick on
Sing your song, song, now the camera’s on
And you’re alive again
Mon amour, je sais que tu m’aimes aussi
Tu as besoin de moi, tu as besoin de moi dans ta vie
Tu ne peux vivre sans moi
Et je mourrais sans toi
Je tuerais pour toi
The boys, the girls
They all like Carmen
She gives them butterflies, bats her cartoon eyes
She laughs like God
Her mind’s like a diamond
Audiotune lies
She’s still shining
Like lightning, woah
White lightning
Like lightning, woah
White lightning
Darling, darling
Doesn’t have a problem lying to herself
Cause her liquor’s top shelf
Thankyou love ❤

She is not only beautiful from appearance but her inside also so beautiful, she has the pure heart and well human features
Beauty is both a blessing and a curse
this edit is the defenition of perfection
this is heartbreakingly beautiful
Not a 13 yo boy thinking he had a chance with her lmao
He didnt
😂
I feel bad for pretty women, hated and berated no matter if they are kind or not
Melina showed em all in the end with her head held high ❤
Everything fits so perfectly!
The most loving part in the movie is when she came back hand in hand it was spectacular the movie was lovely
The song and movie together are a match made in heaven. They're all even walking to the beat. Lovely ❣
One of my very favourites , and how absolutely beautiful is Monica ,
What's the movie's name
The name of the film is Malena

I love her wedding picture with her husband , she looks angelic and happy and others also look happy for her.
Another master piece
This is no woman…she’s a proper goddess.

This is the exact problem, she is a woman, a human NOT PERFECT!
Bruh, getting a bit weird. And a goddess is a woman
She sure is a goddess. But she got a lot of hate, envy and evil eye 🧿… 😵💫🥴
Her beauty made her desired to others
But also made her lose her humanity to others.
She was no longer seen as a person with feelings;
Just a shiny object that needed an owner to possess it.
Wow👏👏👏👏👏

Good night. 💙
Just watched this movie for the first time and the song Carmen immediately came in my head. Came to TH-cam to see if anyone had combined the two and ofc Lana del rey fans already did.
Exactly when I heard Carmen I firstly thought about Malena movie

Great movie!!
This fits so well omg
Monica is the most beautiful woman I’ve ever seen and maybe existed.
beautiful... everything is just beautiful
This was so good, I cried
Thank you :,)
Where’d u watch it? :)
A beautiful woman delights the eye; a wise woman, the understanding; a pure one, the soul.
A woman can be all of these at once. They are not mutually exclusive things.
In my personal opinion she is the most beautiful woman in the world and no one can replace her beauty. I have never seen such a attractive woman in my life. Really I’m just shocked.i can be very honest and i can tell you that her style isn’t my fav (I prefer blonde slavic women), but she....she is just goddess 🦋🦋🦋🕊🕊 she is unique. I’m obsessed, and jealous, i want to cry because I’m envy and jealous of her beauty, i can’t … it’s impossible, i love her and same time i hate her because of her beauty.
She is the best, beeest. Best feminine energy, best face and body, best character.
Just wow……
Geez man I can see why having idols is a sin....get a hobby
@@Jennifahh why you are so rude
Truly an amazing edit!!! Wow I’m speechless🥹🫶🏼
Nice editing from the movie malena...❤️👏👍
i love this
Soooo beautiful, now when I hear name Carmen I think about this movie
Una diosa entre simples mortales
The fact that the movie was from the pov of the boy, but if it was from hers it would've been even more heartbreaking
she just looks like she's in so much pain, and yet can't tell anyone because no one will listen or care
This film is actually very sad. very poor woman but given extraordinary beauty
