Made me laugh with the metalhead bit, thank you! Lots of helpful ideas here! I think it is important for newer guitarists especially--if you're not having fun with something, don't worry about it.
I Am Just About To Do A Video About This. I Have Been Following Rick Beato, But There Is One Thing About Mister Rick. He Does Not Know What It's Like To NOT Be Rick Beato. Eliza Is A Scientist [ Well From My Point Of View ]. And A Scientist Will Assume That A Student Knows Nothing. Musicians Are Mostly Talented People. When Eliza Said To Practice For Hours, I Was Horrified. I Can Sing And Play Chords For Hours. But Due To A Lot Of Illnesses. Playing The Same Thing Twice Is Like Having A Tooth Pulled. Another Thing That She Gave Away, Is To Play Slow . . . . . . . Ooohhhh. I Want To Play Fast, So I Practice Fast.160 BPM. I Watched 8 Minutes Of This Video & My Guitar Practice Improved By 200% . . . . . . . . . . Thanks Eliza . . I Needed To Watch This 42 Years Ago . . . .
When I first watched this video after having started improvising seriously, I thought: well, this is a good one. Since then, I have popped in occasionally. Why don't you go on?
Thanks for this - I've started playing guitar again after many many years of not playing, and so I consider myself a beginner really - always looking for advice and perspective - this helps a lot! - thanks again (enjoyed some of your other videos too!)
1 to 2 hours for many years….to be solid player…. I like to listen a lot. Now give me a reason why I should play guitar for years to be able to listen, what I can listen just pressing mobile touch screen…
Excellent, I have been playing for a couple of years and ask myself am I practicing corrects. This was very helpful. Second you mentioned finger strengthening exercises and coordination drills, I would be interested in hearing about what you do. You’re an exceptional player I hope you continue to produce these Vedic’s.
You are so good Eliza. Thanks for your advise
