I had one of my friends dog do this and my friend got mad. Saying "it's animal cruelty cause I'm making the dog run." After I replied "he's releasing his energy and not being inside the home 24/7" he still got mad at me. After that some argument, everyone noticed that the dog was being more friendly towards me than the owner. The dog actually growls at the owner when he tries to reach for the food and not me. And he still think that I'm wrong.

This is what bulldogs are all about. Some folks think all a pit bulldog is a warring (fighting) dog, but they would be surprised to know that the many talents of this working breed were used for other things before dog-on-dog matches. Bulldogs (American pit bulldogs) were designed to be catch dogs for hunting and stock work of rough, powerful game and livestock critters. Of course they are also used as warring dogs, and I am not saying they cannot or should not be used for that, but hunting is a good, breed oriented use for them as well.

Jessie Harris I think you need a history lesson about these working and purpose bulldogs. A good video to watch is *Cesar Millan: Love My Pit Bull Exclusive*. It will let you know that not only were Pit bulldogs not bred for dog fight, they were also around and being used as working and purpose dogs for large game even before dog fighting began. Bloodsports like ratting and dog fighting started in the mid 1800's, when bull and bear baiting was outlawed because people needed a new sports that were easier to hide. Pit bulldogs were around in the 1700's baiting bulls and bears alongside other bulldogs long before people started to train bulldogs to fight other dogs. And I've seen these people's bulldogs in action. They are great hunting dogs. People usually turn to bulldogs for bloodsports like bull baiting, bear baiting, and dog fighting do this because the dogs have the stamina, drive, agility, speed, high pain threshold, tenacity, and the gripping ability to hold on. That is what they were bred for as working dogs for large game. They are the greatest dogs on earth capable of doing more and going further distances than other dogs. This is why they are deemed the greatest and toughest dogs that are unmatched in the dog world.

when you people say bred you really think scientists came together and created a so called dog for something ? just like brainwashed animal eaters who think cows are made to be eaten i mean wake up of cours dogs like sport but sometimes you people think out of your tiny little minds

@@Swell_Character Pit bulls were bred for dog on dog fighting, and Cesar Millan is an uneducated dog abuser. DA is even part of the breed standard for the APBT, for good reason.
Also pit bulls are not bulldogs, however they along with bulldogs are a bull breed.

@@balkantvofficialbackup Oh so you're a vegan, makes sense now. Do you also abuse your dogs by feeding them species inappropriate vegan diets? Moron.
YES dog breeds were created for specific purposes and not by scientists...it's called selective breeding for drive and working ability...it's why BCs herd...why pointers point...why bloodhounds track...why greyhounds run...why heelers nip...and yes...it's why APBT are animal and dog aggressive.
Not all individuals will fit breed standard re: temperament of course, especially not if they aren't well bred, but genetics is a HUGE thing in temperament and behaviors.

15 minutes on, 6 minutes walk after to cool down. Add another 15 minutes every 5 days if their heart rates dropped, 6 minute walk after every 15 minute session on the mill and a good massage after their full workout session and they’ll be able to outrun anything.

I have great respect for the bully breeds. Pit bulls were selectively bred from bull and bear baiters to be dog fighting dogs. The APBT is a recent American breed designation of a type of dog bred to fight dogs. The Boston Terrier was a failed American attempt for a pit dog as was the Bull Terrier. The BT had some success until the show people got involved and turned him into a grotesque caricature of what he once was, a healthy, athletic dog. There are Hink's (bull)terriers and Mexican bull terriers (I don't know if they are mixed, recreated or a preserved purebred) that are smallish, lean, long in leg and lung and game. The Staffordshire Bull Terrier (the original nanny dog) can be viewed as the first bull and terrier dog fighting dog, the first 'pitbull'. From that we get the very game Irish Staff, the larger Staffordshire Terrier, the APBT and many of the mixed breed critters that are flaunted by wanna be tuff guys. To go back to this misunderstanding that Cesar seems to have contributed to pit bulls were bred to fight dogs. Bull baiting dogs were bred to fight bull. In Germany the breed that developed for bull baiting was the Bullenbeiser, the bull biter. He was softened into the great breed the Boxer. Rat baiting dogs needed to be very quick and have great stamina but could be smaller than a bull fighter. There is little doubt that SBT's were crossed with lighter terriers for the rat pits and also from the rat pits. I can't answer the debate about the origin of the original dog fighting dog and would love to see genetic testing but there could be a common breed outcross from one hundred years after the first pitbull fights and that would skew the testing. Was he a bulldog crossed with a terrier or was he a bull baiter selectively bred from lighter, faster dogs? I suspect both. There may be pointers out bred for stamina in APBT lines and there may be some very game Bull Terriers in other game-bred lines. There have been ROM bull dogs that were man aggressive from kennels that never had that problem otherwise. There are born "man mean" dogs. With those anomalies considered the breed in the hands of competent owners is a fantabulous dog. Some will want to kill about any small furry critter it sees and will take extra training. The same can be said about Huskies and Greyhounds.

It takes time to condition up their wind fitness and resistance.
Initially when I started my bulldogs they could do only 5 to 8 minutes straight of both walking and couldn't even hit a trot.
Months later I can get 35 straight minutes out of them. They choose their pace. They cool down by walking and run up to get that heart rate pumping.
If you're new to the carpet take it slow. You can burn their paws and their intensity out.
General rule on the carpet 5 minutes running 5 minutes walk down.
No need to take em off to walk down teach them to recover themselves by breathing properly.
I get mine to hold a bite wedge they can hold a bite wedge for about 20 minutes before they spit it in order to pant.

I reckon you may need a history lesson about these working and purpose bulldogs. A short video you can watch is called "Cesar Millan: Love My Pit Bull Exclusive" that talks about how they were being used as working and purpose dogs for big livestock long before the banning of certain sports led to these bulldogs being used for other sports like dog fighting. Bloodsports like ratting and dog fighting started in the late 1800's, when bull and bear baiting was outlawed because people needed a new sports that were easier to hide from the law. Pit bulldogs were around in the 1700's baiting bulls and bears alongside other bulldogs long before people started to train bulldogs to fight other dogs. It also says how they were used on farms and cattle ranches to herd animals. People train these working bulldogs to do many different things. The dog in this video belongs to people that train their bulldogs to hunt, so that is what they do. And they do a good job. People usually turn to bulldogs for bloodsports like bull baiting, bear baiting, and dog fighting because the dogs have the endurance, drive, agility, speed, high pain threshold, and the gripping ability to hold on. That is what they were bred for as working dogs for large game. It makes them good for bull and bear baiting, and it makes them good for dog fighting and other sports where they use dogs on other animals. Another popular sport Pit bulldogs are used for is the sport of adu bagong, which is kind of like bull baiting, but with a hog. They are the greatest dogs on earth capable of doing more and going further distances than other dogs. This is why they are deemed the greatest and toughest athletes that are unmatched in the dog world.
