Though I was a young boy but I saw all de wonders and greatness he did at Kumasi sports stadium.soo unfortunate he couldn't play top flight football in Europe.i miss him.God bless him wherever he is for bringing joy to de numerous KOTOKO fans during his playing days.Nice interview too Mr Host we waiting for de part 2.Thanx
Asante kotoko and Tema Young Hearts Babies fc ex player here; Steven is right on the National Milo Under 17 championship. he won the best player and joe louis and Ishmael Addo won the joint goal king and i came second with 4 goals. Kumasi corners shocked us in the final because our leaders did not allow us watch any of their games but they watched all of our games before we met in the final. he is right we had the best players Francis Bossman, myself(Dan Kwakwa), Anthony Obodai, Ishmael Addo, Don Bortey, Eric Djamgmah etc... we camped at TEMASCO and the tournament played between Tema and Accra staduims. i still have my silver medal and some photos. thats how we got to know oduro, joe louis and ember. we met again in Wa and again eliminated us in the quarter finals,, fond memories
Wow! Good to see you Stephen Oduro Alias Yaw zico. He was my best friend in Adabie. When Adabie son brought him, Banahene, and so many players to Adabie. Everything that he's saying is absolutely true. This was the year 95,96. One thing he didn't mention is our girls, they took all the girls from us.
I've enjoyed every bit of this interview. It's like friends sitting and having a chat.. You see that is very real and lively. Kudos to the host too, he allowed the interview to flow and only came in when necessary. Stephen "Tico Tico whano whano" Oduro you're a legend. I feel proud watching you play. You've earned your spot in GH football.
Woow that was my idol.. I'll write his name on a paper canters ball. Him Nana Hin Dua, Micheal Osei, Sheila Illiasu etc.. but The name Tico Tico chale what a Legend!!!
He so humble. I used to watch him all the time when I was at kass. He comes there to train with Envose . Even at his peak, he never acted different from the 2nd division players
He should have been more than them, but luckiest people always win, all that I'll say is he wasn't lucky cos I him very well, cos of him I hanged my boots
Certainly a very skillful player difficult to dispose of the ball. However, in football, physique counts. Was he ever called into the Blackstars? No. The issue is that if you are physically challenged you are seen as a small boy and then in football in certain encounters you will be challenged. He was at New zealand and was on bench and I kept wondering couldn't he have played better than Atiku Ibrahim? In the 3rd place match, he played but he seemed subdued. His situation is just like Cliford Aboagye. I even consider Clifford more gifted than Oduro but has somebody called him for the Blackstars before?
We need more of such interviews...the likes of Emmanuel Osei Kuffour, Yaw Owusu, Simmon Addo, Ember Power, Arhin Duah, and the retired players in the diaspora... Thanks for your hard work..
Because of football you stayed in the secondary school for many years, you were one of those boys 😜. It yielded positive results for you. Great work. Kotoko legend, our legend! ✔️🇬🇭🇨🇳
