I'm so glad you like these cards. I've used this layout with multiple designer papers and it works beautifully and is so fun to play with. I hope you'll play too! Happy Crafting! :-)
LOVE the card, Melissa! These papers are so lovely, and each design gets showcased on this card which I LOVE! Each design is “too pretty” to hide~~and w/this card, we don’t have to do that!! YAY!! Your “tips” n’ diagram are very helpful, and I especially appreciate the last tip to help w/assembly line cardmaking! YIPPEE! TFS n’ HAPPY STAMPIN’ n’ CREATIN’! :-))
I also love that this card shows off ALL the patterns of designer paper. I'm so glad you found the "tips" diagram to be helpful. I love knowing that and appreciate the feedback.
Absolutely, the loveliest card and layout. Thank you so much for the template and the visual layout piece. Your videos continue to be my go to tutorials and I so appreciate that.
I'm so glad you like my tip and that it helps you! You are not alone. A good number of my customers struggle with bows and I especially like making "airbows". I think they're easier than regular bows when you tie around something. All the best and let me know how it works for you. Happy Crafting! Melissa :-)
The card base is just folded in half. If you were to score it would be at 4-1/4". In the blog post, there is a photo with the template I used for the four designer paper pieces. It shows dimensions which should help you know where to fold on your DSP pieces if you're doing it without the template. I hope that helps. The project dimensions are also at the end of the post just above the product list.
Amy Todd I used chipboard and cut it to the same size as the dsp panels to start with. Then I just eyeballed the cut using my guillotine cutter figuring that it needed to be approximately a 45 degree angle. The first one I made was a little off so I just adjusted from there. I made about 40 templates because I offered them to my in person club members and I included one in each kit sent out to online club members and free card kit recipients. I hope that helps.
The dimensions are in the blog post for this project at the end of the post. There's a link to the post in the video description. For future reference I always include a link to the associated post in the video description. Here's a link to make it easy: melissascraftingtreehouse.com/unique-card-folds/

I looked on your blog and got the directions, but do not see where to score on the card to make the card fold. Thanks for sharing. Very pretty

Beautiful card & great way to showcase each design of DSP. How did you make the template?

I'd like the measurements of your papers
