      @@mineoperator I'm curious about the lower sections he couldn't safely access too, something drew the old timers deeper! I wonder if that vein shows elsewhere, maybe even find a spot where it swells in size
      Safety above all though!! The last thing any healthy person wants to see, is somebody getting hurt or killed in a mining incident

    Did some bronze casting in the past using a #10 crucible and when pouring out the molten charge it took complete inversion and a minute or two to allow all the contents to drain out. That was bronze and hope gold pours out more readily otherwise you may be accumulating some metal in the rough interior surface. Just a thought.

    Jason,
    Please help me with a answer. Im confused about the term mineralization. When you have a hydrothermic quarts vane in the host rock and it has minerals in it, is it mineralized? What is the term for it before its oxidized? I mostly hear it called mineralization when it's been heavily oxidized and looks like heavy rust. I was sitting on the beach at Deception pass looking at rocks when that thought went bouncing through my head.🤔

    • @waltertodd4479
      @waltertodd4479 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      0.25 grams per 100 pounds is 5 grams per ton. Assuming 80% gold in the metal and 80% recovery after mining and processing leaves 3 grams times $65 or so per gram or approximately $200 per ton. Mining and equipment costs will eat all that up. They need to find better grade ore...They're missing something somewhere for all the work that was done in the old days at this site. Probably need 10 grams per ton or more with all the labor shown in this video to have a discovery / mine.

      @@darrenbooker8144 Agreed. I operate a mechanized mine and wouldn't be particularly interested in 0.1opt Au unless it also came with 5-10opt silver. Bear in mind we can drill, blast, and muck 25-50 tons in a day if I've got all the necessary equipment running smoothly.
      These guys need to figure out how to mechanize their haulage. My recommendation would be a small slusher and revising the station geometry slightly to allow slushing directly into the skip. If they're willing to deal with the added complication and overhead of explosives, going to drill-and-blast with a jackleg and sinker drill could get them into the realm of profitability.
