It still pains me to say this but Wandering Limbs and Withdraw not getting to be included in the US Version of the album is a musical tragedy. ✨ How can something so beautiful like these tracks are unknown to the world.
Man yeah, still bothers me to this day. Vows has many amazing songs but to think that Withdraw and even worse of all Wandering Limbs are not there is just tragic, Wandering Limbs is a personal favorite
I honestly can't explain just how enchanted I am by this song. The noises and melodies are like diamonds being poured into liquid gold...the end melody just drips with delicate and droning sounds that fade. Stunning song, unlike any other I've heard.
Molly Wilkins yeah my favourite song cause all of those things you describe.. It is so indescribable and beautiful lurking here and there in such an enchanting fashion..
Damnit. Spent the last two years always yelling at my roommates when the replay a song over and over. Of course now I play this song on repeat. Thanks for making me a hypocrite Kimbra
I remember I found this song a while ago when I was searching for "Two Way Street" but I accidentally clicked this, and I'm so happy I did :) one of my favourite songs (Y) So chill, So perfect :)
Not saying that I subbed to YT to hear this all the time, but it may have factored in. This album got me through a very rough military deployment. I love the new music, but this song will always be special. Much love from Boston. ❤❤❤
When I first heard this sonf, I was kibda iffy on it-maybe I wasn't in the right mood, 3/4 count songs always screw me up, but then I heard the breakdown about 2/3 in and it just...wow. I love how it just fades into nothing, it's like going to sleep.

It's a 'hidden track' # 14 on Aussie & Kiwi album releases only. Not on spotify or soundcloud- no original tracks on those apps [that I could find]. My consolation, was discovering another female artist, FELIVAND(AUS)- 3 yrs ago posted on SoundCloud her own cover(top played too)- Kimbra's 'wandering limbs (cover)' by FELIVAND here: soundcloud.com/felivand/wandering-limbs-cover
There is no such thing as disappointment when hearing Kimbra's music, live or recorded. She offers a fresh perspective for either medium, which is what an artist is supposed to be able to do, and yet hardly any can.
Kimbra has disappeared. I miss her. I was fortunate to have caught her incredible set at Coachella 2015. Such promise for an amazing career. I miss her.
@@tonyward5280 the kimbra that released primal is another person. i don't know what happened, but her music went downhill so quick. we'll always have the first 2 albums...
@@ecotonoirrelevante246 That would probably make her happy to read, because each album is different from the last. She doesn’t wanna be boxed in glad you get that. Although I do find it odd that you say “Primal Heart” is a different Kimbra, when style wise “Vows” & “The Golden Echo” are canyons apart as well, guess it’s just a matter of preference. Now I’m curious to know how you feel about “A Reckoning”?
I don't know why but it's really hard to find this music to download now. I got it in 2012, but i'm searching here nowadays and I CANT FIND IT! Thanks for the video :D It'll help my ears.
i love this version and the sideshow alley one. they're both great in their own right. and the way she could make both sound so uniquely different is wonderful. i don't get a feeling of overproduced.
At first, I thought that this could never compare to the Sideshow Alley version, but I think every one needs to give this another chance. The way it builds and slowly fades out is just a beautiful, but in a different way.
It says on Wikipedia that Wandering Limbs is a hidden track after Warrior, apparently if you wait a minute after Warrior finishes this track will start playing :)
Wonderful song. The USA Target Stores version is really well done and has a few extra cuts to hear her fantastic, feminine, beautiful voice. Incomparable. Tom Baugh
you're not the only one, its like that moment where it just brings a tear to your ee no matter how many times you listen to it :,) and then other songsthat are so uplifting you just want to cheer and smile like an idiot, you're not alone!
This is my favorite song on the Vows album. Sam Lawrence and Kimbra are such a rich sound with so many levels I hope this makes the best selling single like Cameo Lover. Please publish the lyrics also. Your live version rules. Tom Baugh
sometimes songs are left out of different countries for copyright reasons, not because she didn't like it. it was most likely up to her label and their subsidiaries.
@@buckemptier I love Kimbra and acknowledge her talent but most music is written by more than one person, whether lyrical, produced, featured talent on the track, musicians, etc. Distribution rules vary from country to country. I've worked as a distributor and distributed music myself. It can get a little complicated sometimes, it's unfortunately not uniform across the industry globally. So if songs are featured on one geographical release but not others, it's almost always the paperwork that got in the way.
Everyone wanting all 17 songs...just get the Australian "tour" edition CD...it's the original 11 track AUS version cd that came out last year (better quality mastering too), plus the 6 new tracks recorded for the USA CD this year including Warrior. Then you'll have EVERYTHING. :-) Well except maybe Somebody Please...not sure if that's still a hidden track on the tour edition, or just on the regular AUS version 11 track CD.
@GerryD96 Sam Lawrence was mentioned as the male vocalist in the live version of the song. I assume its the same person in the album version (sounds the same).
One of my favorite "extremely long chord progression" songs along with who sees you by my bloody valentine and andvari by sigur ros. (also everything about this song is perfect)
for some reason in her New Zealand version and American versions are different, i'm not sure if New Zealand has it as well, but at least there is You Tube :)
on UK iTunes i managed to get EVERY Kimbra song (regardless of what version) , ann except Somebody Please :( the E.P.s and stuff have the remaining songs which arent on the album, perhaps the same case in USA iTunes?
Interesting makes sense. Japanese is a very lyrical language. Things rhyme alot simply because of the morphology and the highly symbolic/double speaking Kanji that they inherited gives them a great leg up on deep lyrics. Those tend to me to be the longest. They have some of the best songs.
i find myself feeling the same way. i like her "singer-songwriter" sound a little bit more than the album stuff I've heard. I'll still give it a chance.
@RUR70 Are you kidding? This is already incredible. It sounds like a really good night of sleep feels, no lie. I'll look into it, on your recommendation.
I love that Vows can and must be listened from the track 1 to the last without skipping any song.
Unture for me I skip the 2nd Plain Gold Ring.
9manny99 Have you heard the live version? (at Sing sing studios) Is simply mind-boggling!
I enjoy the live version but the albums I dislike.
the only song I didn't like was plain gold ring and it turned out to be a cover lol. perfect album.

Kimbra has a knack for OVER-production, the acoustic version of this song is 10x better. This version is a fucking cacophony
Yaaaaaaaasssssss 😍
@@NEprimo the acoustic version is simply beautiful!!!
me too, I feel nostalgic about I don't know what.
This song bird is on another level. Wandering limbs has a poetic vibe. Brilliant song
After several years of not listening to this, it’s nice to come back.
The alley version was beautiful!!!
of course! The best version, for me.
Yes i loved it.
Easily one of the best songs I´ve ever heard that one
Droning harmonies and laidback beats. Two of my favorite things.

The final moments of this is like a whole new universe. Cascading, offbeat, dripping melodies with heavenly soul-heavy vocals. Fucking amazing. 💗💗💗

the whole thing is gorgeous, but the added complexities, particularly the drumbeat shift at 1:35 and 3:18, always give me chills
I could go on and on about Kimbra, but I'll just now say she's my queen
I like both versions, but the live version gives me chills with every word. I love live Kimbra so much. This is so gorgeous.
this song touches my soul EVERY time i listen to it. Not a lot of songs can do that for me.
Her voice and music are so refreshing. I'm surprised she's not that well known here in America.
