I have to say it’s the first time a drama series has made me cry. Thank you to all the people that made this story come alive. When a story ends it’s like saying goodbye to old friends.
Su Mo gave Bai Ying life but it's sad that she has to live without him. That's even more devastating. I'm 😔 sad.

Have not seen such good wuxia/fantasy drama since Legend of Chusen! I would rate this series 9/10. If it wasn't for the ending part, it would have been 10/10!!
I agree with most people in this thread regarding the ending is hella rushed. I think it's due to their new regulations of being capped around 40 episodes.
Su Mo appeared towards the end without explaining much and left many viewers confused 😵💫. How I interpret the ending is he appeared because of the pendant contains half of his soul/spirit/energy which he gifted her in the earlier episode. Before Su Mo died, he requested that his soul should be distributed all over Mirror Cities and the sea to bless the world. Bai Ying was travelling all everywhere towards the end, and the pendant will therefore collect all the scattered pieces of his soul. Finally the ending, at the sea scene, we can see the pendant glowing and Su Mo then appeared. This means that the pendant collected all pieces of his soul and finally brought him back. Therefore he appeared after 3 years and then the happy ending 🥰❤

I am unhappy he ended like this after he did so much during the whole series .he was finally happy to see the world in order 🙌 his fight was greatness . He deserved happiness n kids but not always what we hoped for . I am happy he came back .if it were to have 2nd part I think he would come back by the scattered pieces of his soul . I have seen Li Fi Yeng and Chen Yu Qi and Zheng Ye Cheng in other dramas and they were all three so very good in this. Chen Yu Qi is always a delight to watch. It was an unusual love triangle because they were quite selfless. Zheng Ye Cheng played out the two different characters so well. Beautiful story and love never dies. (Adored the dragon!)

I see again the actor of Noble Aspirations (Sumo). he is so adorable. also Bai Ying shes so pretty. I like her roles in ancient movies, she's always a fighter. Just last month I searched her ancient movies but Ive watched them all already until I accidentally opened this Twin cities.I didnt know its hers and Sumo's.I love them both.💖💖💖

Yeah I think Zhen Lan is probably the most pitiful character out of the 3. Although Su Mo dies, he will live forever in Bai Ying’s heart. Whereas like Zhen Lan said, in the end he has everything and yet nothing at all. I was actually kinda disappointed this drama didn’t follow the novel ending. Because at the end of their lives, Bai Ying actually came back to see Zhen Lan and they made a promise to each other to be together in their next life.

Could it be a follow up drama with Bai Ying, Su Mo getting together permanently fighting evil throughout the world? With the rest of the gang? Excellent drama, well executed. This was indeed a beautiful Chinese drama series. Although the ending wasn't a happy one, at least Kong Sang and Quan Xian are at peace because of Su Mo, Bai Ying and Zhen Lan. I have never seen a Chinese drama where someone had to sacrifice himself for the one he loves and her wishes.....Thank you Croton for such a brilliant drama....
