@@martesdemoluscos773 Here's how I think of it 1980-2008: Dubstep & Dub 2008-2015: Brostep & GlitchHop 2015-2018: Riddim & Briddim 2018-ETC : Future Riddim, Future Dub So in a way; "Future Riddim" is the 4th revolution of dubstep (IMO). Ofc there's plenty of smaller Dubstep offshoots and subgenres that have came and went like; Neuro/Neurofunk(2000-2012) Melodic Dubstep(2010+) Deathstep(2015+) Hybrid Trap(2014+) Chillstep(2013-2018) Moombathon/Moombacore(2012-2014) And keep in mind these dates are really rough estimates so take them all with a massive grain of salt. They just seem to line up really well with the terms I've heard/used to describe dubstep subgenres at certain points in time. [Take a look my playlist: Origins of Dubstep, to see how dubstep has grown over the years if you're interested] Btw; The track; "Coki-Super Riddim", is a super early Dubstep tack (that I can't find the release date for), that shows how old the term "Riddim" really is, just a little nugget of trivia for ya. .
@@TheDubstepHater Right, but I don't know If id put Future Bass in the "Dubstep" category, feels more like a variant of Trap more than anything. I will say that Dubstep's massive spike in popularity did open the door for genres like future bass, AND future bass was definitely influenced by Melodic Dubstep, but I wouldn't call it Dubstep on its own, feel me? I mean im just a guy and that's my opinion, and there's no real "correct" answer but that's just what I think about it.
you prolly dont care but if you guys are stoned like me during the covid times then you can watch all the new movies on InstaFlixxer. Have been binge watching with my gf for the last few days =)
This label (or project Idk what it is exactly) is actually the future of dubstep lol
Oolicile (the founder of Halcyon) called it "an outlet for the emerging genre of *Future Riddim* " so yeah youre right on the money.
@@t7H2si0vß2 and i thought riddim dubstep was already futuristic music, this is basically post riddim
