  • A birds eye view of the start of a new tea towel. This is real time, and I will throw the shuttle 682 times, for each towel. This warp will give me 34 towels, which means I will throw the shuttle 23,188 times before this warp is finished.

Kathy, thanks for posting such informative videos. I notice you don't use a stretcher. Do you have problems with selvedges pulling in?

I very rarely use a stretcher/temple. I generally do not have issues with the selvedges though.

how long have you been weaving, I love listening to the rhythm that you have, I am a beginner weaver so haven't gotten the rhythm down yet.

Thank you! I started weaving in 2008/2009. I didn't weave a whole lot for the first few years, but I have been weaving a LOT for the last 10 years or so.

What type of loom do you have? I love the smooth operation it is pretty quiet. I think I see that it is countrermarche but what is the brand/maker

It is an AVL FDL (Folding dobby loom), but I have no dobby. It is quite quiet, and a jack loom (the shafts only move up, a countermarche loom has some moving up, and the rest moving down).

@@michellecampeau243 , The AVL has a roller and spring system, and texsolv heddles, that really helps keep the noise down.
