I think you have quite a lot of quality food for the money. Feeding animals fresh cooked foods is now a trend and considered healthier than canned food. So, score one for Milly, the luckiest dog in England.
It's really lovely to see you back, Stu, you've been missed. Your food shop looks really fresh and very good quality and you have quite a lot of food for your money. When you work it out it's just £35 per week which is the UK average weekly spend for one person. Not bad at all for what you've got there. Thanks for sharing this! Angie
Good to see you again and that you're doing better. Instead of buying canned beans, you can get a one-pound bag of dried beans for a lot less, cook them in your slow cooker and have several quarts of beans out of that. You can put those beans in the freezer until you're ready to eat them. Also, maybe when your shopping challenge is finished, get the things from this one that are great quality and other things that are cheaper from a different store - ?
Nice haul but totally understand about the extra costs - nice for a change though. Just so that you know, Iceland do deliver. You can either go in store and they can deliver to you later or you can go online and shop through the Food Warehouse/Iceland. I do it regularly AND you can even get some household/everyday items.
Millie’s cocktail sausages looked delicious😄! It really is interesting comparing availability, quality, and prices. Was happy to see the “Coddies” as we call cod-cakes in the Baltimore area, I hope you like them. So glad to see you back!
Agree that Waitrose can be expensive but I find the quality of a lot of their fresh items, especially fruit and veg, is head and shoulders above the other supermarkets. I can visit the shop in person so can also take advantage of their yellow sticker items which makes it much more affordable. Thanks for shopping for us.
So lovely to see you back ❤ It’s very difficult to do a true price comparison between supermarkets. Weight’s and sizes vary, quality is incredibly variable. I was an Aldi shopper but have gone back to Sainsbury’s, better quality and they price match with Aldi. It’s all about choice and what you prefer. Get haul and some lovely quality items.👍
Stu, great video. Really interesting and I for one enjoy these shopping hauls you share with us. One item I find fascinating is the Coronation Chicken...to think it has become such a part of your food culture and is based on Queen Elizabeth II actual coronation lunch I understand. Jane, Frugal Queen in France, mentioned making Coronation Chicken on one of her recent videos. I am going to try making it. Thanks and take care.
Good to see you and Millie again.love me some Waitrose 😊someone mentioned their prices but their own brand stuff is ok.our cat loves their own brand of cat food.some of it is daft prices .we saw a tin of cassoulet for 9.50😮. I nearly had Millie's reaction 😅
Great video...thank you. I am in the Seattle Washungton area...am wondering if they add deluvery charges, tips, etc. to your bill there? Have never tried grocery delivery here, but my niece does it, and they add those items to her shop bill. Thanks again😊
Hi thank you.yes they have a charge if you under a certain amount and there is delivery charge. My shopping does include that delivery charge. It can range from £1 to £4.50 ♥️👍👍
@@frugalstu Thank you so much. I will try delivery. I think with gas prices and impulse purchases ( I am talking to you reeses peanut butter cups☺️), this will save me money:)
Hi Stu,good to see you back sharing again. It will be interesting to see the comparisons. Could you put up Aussie dollar too, it might be good for your channel.😊Im hoping to do a big bulk shop after I get my first pay in a couple of weeks.my work closes for term break and I'm paid on a casual basis. Using up all the weird and wonderful from the cupboard and fridge.🥨🥫🍬🥚🌶😅
