This game is absolutely going to become a series, and I strongly request that you give this game an honest chance. If you plan on playing the game yourself, you should know that this episode contains no major spoilers and is safe to watch! Episode 2 will come out next week, so you will have time to play ahead of me.
Don’t know how far you are right now, but to you and any who play this game, if you come across a room or puzzle and are completely stumped don’t deliberate on it too long. As you explore other areas you will get permanent upgrades that will allow you to solve seemingly impossible puzzles. I have been eyeing this game since Tyler first played it years ago and played it day one of release. It’s very fun and challenging, but there is no handholding late into the game in explaining new mechanics and it can be super frustrating trying to solve a puzzle only to later realize you needed a powerup from elsewhere to do it. Similar to Animal Well in that sense, though in this game it’s not as obvious sometimes that the puzzle is impossible, since there are many tough puzzles you have access to early on, being open-world
There's a nice setting called Streamer Mode which gives you a box in the top right corner to place the facecam in, could be easier than watching Tyler's face flying up and down the screen! (Though that's fun too)
9:10 really love the opacity changing when something happens underneath the facecam, way better than just moving the facecam around which is too eye catching and distracting
Yeah, the facecam moving feels good when there's something really important under it to draw attention to, but opacity is a whole lot nicer when it's not the sole focus imo
something that helps a little in solving some puzzles, is that if you are on a screen with a secret, the snakes in the top right and left of the screen have red glowing eyes.
This needs to be higher up in the comments, this is vital imo. I didn't realize this until about 80 stars in. I am 90 stars in now, and I hate the musical notes with a passion.
One nice thing I noticed about the cave walls is that the different coloured ones also have a different pattern. As a colourblind person, small details like that make games better

what intrigues me most about this game is the item bar in the top of the screen. there is room for so much more items, and you just know that later in the game there is going to be puzzles that needs all of them.
I remember watching you play the demo when it came out, instantlly playing and 100%ing the demo myself, and (im)patiently waited 3 years for updates. It's finally here and even though i'm halfway through the game myself I'll still absolutely binge this series
playing this game myself rn! I can confirm it's an absolute joy! In particular, i love all of the carefully crafted rooms that could hold up to 2 or 3 puzzles at a time, it's really well thought-out and very rewarding.
forgot about this game, can't believe it released!! when i watched the demo video i was in such a different place in my life and i thought the release date was ages away, so cool to see it finally back!!
Wow, this game is fun! The summary in the first couple minutes combined with your excitement & expectations lead me to go check other reviews. Shortly thereafter I was playing Isles of Sea and Sky. A couple blinks later and it is already night. Thanks for sharing this great game with all of us.
Heck yes! I wishlisted this way back when you played it in 2021. When I didnt see a video yesterday I was afraid it fell off your radar. Super happy to be wrong!
Massive props to the editors as always (nice work, Dan!) for the little indicators and tooltips! They make it feel like we're in your head, and not in an exorcist way ;)
A recent game that has reached its 1.0 which i think might be cool for a 1 off video would be 'mech engineer'. It just came out and it has a demo, its also one of those types of games that doesn't tell you everything at the start, it gives you a manual for the basics but the rest you have to learn. It isnt much of a puzzle game, but it seems to need quite a bit of strategy required
In the original video of this game he said it would be coming out in a couple years in December or something like that. Since then I have literally checked to see if this series is out every December since the video was released. This is very hype.
I saw your original video about a week ago and immediately went to look up the game only to find it came out super soon. From that point I was eagerly awaiting it. I picked it up day 1 and have since beat it, it's a very satisfying experience. I have noticed that people sometimes overlook it's open nature and get stuck banging their head against a puzzle they can't solve yet. I did it too. So my tip to anyone playing is to step away from a puzzle you get stuck on to explore some more.
I remember you playing the demo, and I remember wishing there was more! Glad to see it return. With this and Animal Well, this is a good time for puzzle games like the Aliensrock content of old.
I just finished the game. It is incredible. Puzzles never get old. They are super clever throughout and the exploration is great. It is currently my game of the year. Try it!
No way it’s been 3 years, that’s insane I literally remember watching you play the demo on my school Wi-Fi at like 240p in study hall. And now I’m not even in school anymore
Holy shit, I remember watching you play the demo for this and getting excited to see you play it! I'd completely forgotten about it in the meantime. Excited to watch this series!!
Glad to see you’re enjoying it. I’m playing through it and seem to have softlocked myself. If I can’t find a way out, I’ll just start a new save file since the game is good enough to justify it.
Just wanted to comment on your channel name in the end of the episode - I noticed how great it is! Cute, referencing great games, and matching their styles in letters! So in love with it
I find it really interesting how there are many different solutions to the same puzzle. I decided to buy the game and play it for a bit before watching the video, to make sure it wouldn't be a spoiler. And Tyler found some very interesting solutions compared to mine, which were more complicated but also solved the puzzle more directly. Brilliant puzzle design, IMO. Excited to see more of this series Tyler!
I can't believe its finally out and I've purchased the game and I've played the demo, I'm so excited for Retro puzzle-solving mechanics and love to see what mysteries I can solve for this game.
So exited that this is finally out, I remember the demo being incredible! Also there is no way that you played this back in 2021 it feels like it was just a few months ago
Been playing this one myself since launch day, and let's just say the puzzles get a LOT harder. Definitely worth the full price. Found out about it from your playthrough of the demo. Admittedly, I'm wondering where you'll have issues solving puzzles further in, but that'll be for another video.
As soon as I saw what game it was, I paused the video, bought it, and played it for 4 hours. I don't feel anywhere close to being done, and this is gonna be a FUN ride
I thought about telling you that the game was out, but clearly I didn't need to. Also, when you get the ability to fully solve all the puzzles on an island, it feels so rewarding.
ITS HERE, EVERYONE STAY CALM edit: i dont really want to be the guy that thanks people for liking, but my previous high score was 20 likes, so thanks i guess
i went from "i have no idea which game he's talking about" to "wait i remember this banger, wait that means i've been watching this channel for more than 3 years ???" why do the bloons day feel only a few months ago to me ?

yum
have you thought of playing The House of Da Vinci?

Thanks for the disclaimer, I was about to click off to play before watching.
He calls the boxes "logs". A Monster's Expedition has scarred him permanently. Good, good
but there are also "blue" boxes as well which can't plug holes
To be fair they kinda do look like logs, logs from trees from the island.
Not his fault that A Monster's Expedition was such an exceptional game!
@@TheDBest1994true I was like THOSE ARNT BOXES
Dude that game was a trip. Whenever you think you found every possible way to log BAM you get a new way to log
There's a nice setting called Streamer Mode which gives you a box in the top right corner to place the facecam in, could be easier than watching Tyler's face flying up and down the screen! (Though that's fun too)

I've played so many games where that happens that i don't even register it.
Wow, I didn't even notice that happen. It felt like it was just something the game did. Excellent job, editor!
I SAW THIS IS 2021?!
It was like yesterday wtf 😭
This is the full version
@@shinathaniel5934i think they’re saying that they saw the original in 2021, but it *feels like* they saw it yesterday

@@zaneomega2 there is, the eyes of the top left and top right serpent shine red in a room with a musical note.

Holy shit!! I'VE been waiting three years for this series!!! Very excited to watch it!!
I cannot wait for this series, I remember watching the demo all that time ago. Hyped!

Another important tip: Every rune that unlocks the colored blocks can be attained immediately without the use of previous items.
@@wpbn5613 yes that’s true too forgot to mention that
That’s my biggest gripe with the game, outside of the Earth island, there’s no indication that the puzzle isn’t possible yet.
what intrigues me most about this game is the item bar in the top of the screen. there is room for so much more items, and you just know that later in the game there is going to be puzzles that needs all of them.
I VIVIDLY remember watching you play this a while back, so excited to see the final game being finally out!
The game called star stuff which you played the demo for a year ago is coming out on the 7th June and the demo just got a massive update
"Emo Tyler is not real, he can't hurt you"
Emo Tyler:
5:50 I respect the Frodo moment. Good quotes, Tyler!
I've been following this game for a while. The demo hooked me for sure, and the puzzles in the full game get absolutely brutal.
I remember watching you play the demo when it came out, instantlly playing and 100%ing the demo myself, and (im)patiently waited 3 years for updates. It's finally here and even though i'm halfway through the game myself I'll still absolutely binge this series

This is finally out? Awesome. The playthrough, all those years ago, got me interested and I downloaded the demo for myself
Akurra is a snake deity in aboriginal souther Australian mythology, sometimes associated with the rainbow serpent.

The legend of Tyler and the Akurrina of time
I almost skipped over this video before realizing it was by you. Glad I did realize. Excited for the rest of this series.

This game seems super exciting as a series! Very excited to see where it goes!
Some of the later puzzles in this game are magical in how you solve them. Cant wait to see you reach them!!!

Oh, it is the islands puzzle! I clicked the video and just had a feeling.

it doesnt even feel like its been that long ago ??? wow i've been watching aliensrock for a while now lol
I remember the episode about the demo! Has it really been that long?? Very excited to see the full game :D
Every non-delayed video will have a Tyler with a different haircut.
Diggin the new hair style Tyler! Looking forward to seeing more of you AND this.
Oh my god, by the video title I knew what game this was! Finally it's here!!!
I'm most of the way done this game, it's absolutely fantastic, highly recommend to anyone that reads this
I love this. Awesome!
LETS GO!!!! WE ARE HYPED!!!!
Really wanna see a playthrough of this but I hope he finishes Animal Well too!
Great video 👍
