I dont know there's a clear example, of CB being a heist crew. When CB fully completed the casino they pretty much disbanded because the heist progression was at its end, so in some ways the Lang and friends heist crew does kinda make sense.
Facts, I mean even if you look at CB in the bigger picture, since they have members like Denzel and Nino (on the rare occasion when he’s around) who barely touch heists but do/have done a ton of weapon and drug trafficking related crime, they usually get do it with crews outside of CB like HOA and the Vagos. The vast majority of the crime CB does together is heists, and most of them have their own stuff they do on the side without involving each other too much.
Mr K is right though, by definition they are a gang- an organized group of criminals. Not to mention the fact they've tried to run drug trades and Lang and Tony act like hardened gangsters in certain situations.

I think the thing that separates current CB from everyone is that when they get themselves into deep shit, the other members don't give a fuck. for example: harry 1v10s gsf noone helped ends up in icu, gg and rust war other gangs the boys just watch from a building or a few streets off and farm content, when x or yuno inevitably does some snake shit noone bails them out they suffer alone except for mike block.

I feel CG used to operate like how all conventional gangs operate now, then they matured and became a mafia-type movement. You have the leader, the OGs, the core, the street team. They became the most powerful clear-cut gang on the server. The type of group that instilled fear. They got the shooters the spies, the connects, the drugs, pretty much complete control over the underground. I feel Buddha let LB die as a gang without Lirik, and when CB started it was literally just a group of friends who come together for heists and when someone needs help, but each one of them has their own agendas which don't tie back to the group. Buddha with Cerberus, Tony with the puppets initially and now Redline, Ray with Rust, X with GG (how it started anyway lol), and as for Mickey and Yuno....those two just like doing nothing and being hilarious lol. At least Mickey has his Mayor thing going now. With Cerberus bossing the legit side of things and CG conquering the underground, it's the perfect opposition to the most powerful group on the server bar none, and we all know who that is. Just my two cents. I love the impromptu writing these streamers do every day. And it's nice to see it all come together.. On paper at least.

It technically if you only read the definition, but that just removes all nuance to it. Being a gang is about having that collective singular identity, people in charge, and loyalty. Everything you do is for the gang, your life outside the gang is secondary and worth less. CB just doesn't care about that. Denzel is borderline HOA, X/Marty are GG, Ray has Rust, Tony has a racing crew, Lang runs a corporate empire, and Mickey decided to become a really good mayor. All those things are as completely separate from CB as they want it to be. It's just about coming together to rob stuff. CG on the other hand would crucify you if your loyalty to CG was lesser than your loyalty to anything else. There is an expectation that the gang comes before all else.
@@Darklordiban7 they don't even really fit the definition, most government agencies and judicial institutions make a distinction between classic criminal organisations and gangs. To be classified as a gang you need to rep something (colours, name, territory, etc). LB did but CB doesn't do that.
