lazychino I upgraded my desktop and tbh....GTA V plays like a dream on it compared to the PS4.
The graphics are better but having a keyboard and mouse make aiming so much more precise than on a console gamepad.
Teh goat PC + PS4 for the win, to be honest I have all 4 main Systems/consoles being PS4, PC, XONE, WiiU. But out of all those I use my ultra powerfull gaming PC the Most and then my PS4 the most besides that

Don Mattrick reminds me so much of Mark Corrigan from Peep Show. It's the neutral look Don gives, it's like the look of disgust, Mark constantly gives in the show.
I think some people in the comments don't understand that Fraser and the guys don't hate the Xbox one they just hated Microsoft for trying to control the way people play games and thinking people would just except it. Thankfully they've changed alot of things with the Xbox one. Now all they need to do is lower the price and make a bundle without the kinect and I'll buy one.

If you watch Don's head when he's talking about how it's unrivaled, and how they raised the bar, he's constantly shaking his head "no" which is a subconscious give-away that he's not at all convinced of what he's saying.

Just hold down the power button until it beeps 3 times. Worked for mine. Also the firmware update was only for ~10 hours, so it is no longer a problem.
I also just read an interview from Don Mattrick that the xbox one was not going to be intended for video games. Here is a quote: “We slowly began to realize that video games are no longer a big thing. This is when we turned our attention to other functions the Xbox could perform like television, movies, video chat, and others. We knew we had something big with the ‘One’ concept. We started to think, did we even really need video games?" So there you go.

It's rumored that the 180 actually occurred way before E3. They cancelled the conferences they had planned, they kept their lips sealed about the console while they were actually redesigning the Xbox One so the people like Don Mattrick and Major Nelson don't actually know what's confirmed and what's not about the console so they just danced around the issue. If this were the case, then the pre orders wasn't a factor in the 180. It was probably just the initial backlash.
The nice thing about Nintendo is that they're consistent. They may not always blow your minds away with what they've got, but what they've got is good.
With the exception of Metroid: Other M, but that was Team Ninja's fault.
Doing the math, every time one Xbone is pre-ordered, 18 PS4's are as well.
You can turn Steam to offline mode, and the Beta has content that implies a shared library of games will be possible in the future.

I wish the xbox one really was backwards compatible but unfortunately only the more famous games will be playable so if any one wants to play something like phantasy star universe or onimusho some of the smaller game brands sorry you'll only see call of duty, assassins creed, gta games like that.

The 3D is nice, but I hope the next Nintendo Handheld will focus more on power. There are a few games I use the 3D slider for. As for new games:
Animal Crossing: New Leaf, Donkey Kong Country Returns 3D, Shin Megami Tensei IV, Mario & Luigi: Dream Team, Pokemon X & Y, The Legend of Zelda: A Link Between Worlds, Yoshi's New Island, Sonic Lost World, Mario Party 3DS. Plus Bravely Default: Flying Fairy and Super Smash Bros 3DS will be out in 2014.

But for every KI, Ryse and D4, there's Driveclub, Deep Down, The Order : 1886 and Infamous: Second Son. And just having "more" exclusives doesn't mean anything when some of the exclusives are sports games and kinect games like Kinect Sports Rivals, Rabbids Invasion, Zumba Party Fitness and Forza Motorsport 5.
The Wii U's problem is exactly the opposite of the Wii.
Wii's hardware IMO wasn't there yet. There was unavoidable lag on the motion tracking with the Wii, but the Wii had a great library of games.
With the Wii U, the hardware limitations are all fixed with 1 to 1, awesome looking tracking. But Nintendo hasn't really released anything that aren't the usual roster of IP's.
But unlike the Wii, the Wii U's problem can be easily fixed. A few more games, and I'll seriously consider buying it.

I went to 2 locations to try to pre order a PS4 and out of 20 people in line before i left 19 of them were ordering PS4.. Xbox is going to suffer big time in sales
I like how Microsoft is basically trying to make everyone's house sustained by Microsoft Hardware. PCs, Video Game Console, T.V., Toaster (in Beta), Furniture (in beta), Microwave (in beta), etc. (in beta).

I was going to get a 360, but that was before my cousin had 1 red-ring, got sent in and fixed, red-ringed again, was deemed 'unfixable', had to purchase a replacement...which then red-ringed.
Maybe his point would be something like, the military is camping in the fucking desert or whatnot, where you simply cannot get an internet connection. They can bring consoles and whatnot with them, but with 24 home-phoning, those would be useless, which was the point.

I like developers that actually get overexcited about their products and are basically flipping shit, not speaking in monotone and pretending to be professional. If the creator is actually visibly excited, that will make everyone else excited. Simple logic. You could tell the Microsoft spokespeople were pretty much depressed and broken. Living in Europe the only console that wasn't region locked (as far as I know) was the eitehr the Game Boy or Nintendo DS (except 3DS which suddenly has a region lock)

I actually think it was good that Major Nelson's and Angry Joe's interview was more casual, more like just two buddies talking than overly official and serious talk. Sure Nelson may have acted a bit disrespectful but I'm just so sick of big name people talking diplomatic and formal and not actually saying anything (not saying that Nelson there said much, just a step in the right direction).

The Xbox 360 was the next gen console when it hit the shelves, same as the PS4 will be the next gen console. I'm no saying it's the only one one, but it is the best representation of what next gen should and will be.
I know a lot of people have said this but I do not think that the Microsoft people expected the shit storm that followed their presentation.

I think it's funny that Sony is the only company that even bothers releasing thier console in Malaysia.
Sony saved the generation of video games and video games period. For that Sony will be with Nintendo as legendary in video game history no one can deny that in this point.
as I said before, it's all just preferences.
After what Xbox one tried to pull off there will be people that just strait up avoid anything having to do with it, even if it is fixed now, so without a doubt sony will win in sales this year, but I don't think the Xbox one will fail anymore

You're probably right. We're all going to get mad about something, and this'll all blow over eventually. We'll get a little less heated about how the way the console got the way it is and be glad it is the way it is.
But now that I can balance the systems based on what they offer, and not the DRM, I can see I would be happier with a PS4. I, personally, use my console just for gaming, and the games that were really exciting to me were either multi platform or PS4. Or Wii U, which I already own.
