Sounds like someone coping with loss, perhaps a loved one has passed away? The world has collapsed around them, they feel regret, sadness, pain. They mourn all that could have been, mourn the fact that they will never have another chance. However, they remember all the good times that they were able to have, the memories that they were able to make that will never be forgotten, and as the sun rises to welcome a new day, they know they will be ok.
