There were 7 counts. The must consider, and debate, each count separately. Fours hours is incredibly quick, about 25 minutes per count. It must have been a slam dunk. I was on a jury where we had to deliberate 9 counts. It took us almost 2 full days.
They also ordered and ate lunch within those 4 hours
They had their minds made up after the Judge gave them the instructions. Nothing wrong with that. The Judge knew it, they knew it, and the public outsiders (us, the viewers) knew it.
Coffeezilla has a great video going over the details of the case from both the prosecution and the defenses perspective. It was such an obviously lopsided case it was really very unfortunate for his defense attorneys, honestly. No sympathy for him and those around SBF who did all this, but good lord that attorney must have had a hell of a headache dealing with the mountain of evidence against him lol

In Europe, we don't throw people in jail until they are proven guilty in court. But I've noticed that not one single country in the world can compete with the U.S when it comes to throwing people in jail. That's interesting. Has anyone been on a jury in a relatively clear cut trial like this? How long did you deliberate for, and what was the discussion like in the deliberation room? Would love to hear perspectives on this
I was also on a jury in which everyone agreed in the guilt. The discussion was maybe 15-20 minutes for each count (total of 5), though it was simpler than this case. The individual on trial wasn’t liked by anyone in the court room, his attitude definitely seemed to impact how quickly we deliberated in finding him guilty.
