yea they actually got shit priorities, its not really any hard work as a dev to do these little things that improve either gameplay for yourself or content by alot. BUT they are better than most dev teams.

You must know that but yet you choose to behave populist. You are thinking too small. If a studio was shaped by a single popular figure, then we will see drango hacking the game for a better casting. It is not right at all.
Just wanted to say this was really entertaining to watch! Despite the result (and heightened stakes of the final game) being ruined by the manner in which you lost that first game, you and corvinus still played some great games and made it fun to watch with your commentary :)
Listen, I get this has overall been a pretty casual tourney but, if there's going to be any significant amount of winnings on the line, they needed to spell out the rules for this event a lot better. We've had king giveaways, unnecessary and unfair restarts and now players are teaming up for advantages. Corvinus really needed to ask some of the people he had participate, to properly moderate and organize the events, because as a viewer catching these games in hindsight, very little of this appears "professional" despite it being called a "pro ffa tournament". Its more just been a series of messy show matches with little consistency in the rulings regarding player behavior.
I never called it pro ffa tournament, the name was "The Raven's Oath FFA" Whatever happened in game 1 , got decided to remove point from the french player and add point to Beasty.
It was a good tournament overall. And fun to watch tbh, i think viewing expeirence was great, i love the shit drama that happens. Thanks for hosting :D @Corvinus1
The point system needs balance. You won 2 of 3 games in the finals had a great game 2, and Corv had one extraordinary great game 1. You should at least be tied or in contention for a win not fighting for 2nd place.
Well, it's not a 1v1, so you don't want to make spears that early in the first place. You would have to make a lot of them, stay passive, while bot booming nor teching which is a really bad idea in a FFA. If you go fast age3, you wanna pick relics and stuff. If he knew french would attack, he would have played differently, but it doesn't make sense to be attacked in this situation.
@alphazero0 He needed cavalry to protect his Dervishes. Mostly though, Beasty knew that if purple was going to all-in him, he was already dead. So the only thing to do was continue with the same plan and hope purple or teal got scared off by the chat, and started to fight each other.

Why did Corvinus surrender the last game? Why didn't he just keep up infinite pressure with higher supply? He has the whole map for infinite resources and relics
So corv didn't disqualify them/remake after those 2 guys teamed and he got donated a free king in the last game. Seems like he just wants to get 1st so he doesnt give out the prize money. Slimey😒.
The rules in the tournament said that collusion is allowed but it has to be in game chat for all to see. Because there are mixed levels in the tournament from low gold player to literally the best players in the world. The idea was that if two weaker were at a big disadvantage they could fight together to deal with the mutual threat before it kills them both. It’s hard to find a balance with it all but I’m pretty sure that it was all done with the best of intentions. Like the old saying goes, don’t attribute to malice what can easily be explained by incompetence . that’s not a dig at Corvinus either btw, overall the tournament was successful while I’m sure there’s some room for improvement

Honestly, it's a FFA, and NOT attacking the player next to you is always going to be advantageous if you're relatively certain they won't attack you too. A very easy way to do that is to just build walls between you, and if the other player also built a wall, then you know you're safe from them, anonymous or not, chat or not. It's unfair, it's not fun, but that's FFA with the current rule. The only real way to fix teaming is to set up rules where teaming is disadvantageous, which is impossible without turning the game into something unrecognizable. Only way I can see that happening is if you gain points for killing players but no extra points for being the last man standing, which mostly defeats the purpose of FFA.
I agree with Beasy on this one. If to players have a verbal non-attack policy towards each other, thats the same as teaming. As corvinus points out: "Chatting about who to attack OR NOT ATTACK at any other time then SS-timer or wonder is forbidden." That's the rules.
