    Always a pleasure to hear Dr. D'Agostino talk. I am telling all my friends about his research and waiting with bated breath for the ketone esters he describes to become available for consumers.

      ***** There is a ketone supplement called KetoForce which I believe Dominic helped formulate. Just put it in one of the search engines and you will find it. I don't want to put the actual link in my reply because I don't believe in "spamming." I bought it, it truly tastes like crap, but they do work. The only problem is that the product is $75 per bottle and it only has 16 servings. However, I just broke down the servings and made the product last longer. Dominic has talked about it in a podcast somewhere. Hope this helps.

    Excellent information on a topic that is still under reported and misunderstood.

    It is so frustrating when the oncologists do not want either to listen or to read and think that all is nonsense. Is it surprising? No, when you think that they get most of their information from big pharma

      Thank you for saying that . Not only do they get their info from big pharma , they do not wish to lose their massive salaries.

      I think most doctors are more interested in helping their clients than becoming rich. There's very little fulfillment (if any) in just becoming rich. Additionally, there are plenty of patients who do not want to follow a restrictive diet, I don't think many doctors would lack clients - especially with the doctor shortage we seem to be having.

    I was diagnosed with triple negative breast cancer and I refuse chemo therapy! I’ve been doing intermittent fasting and one a week I fast for 48 hours, my lump still big but health wise I feel much better! I’m gonna continue doing this and hopefully the cancer will go away!

    There is little doubt that fasting can be beneficial to the majority of people. However, achieving and maintaining beneficial levels of ketones is easier for most by simply dropping all sugars and carbohydrates. It is well documented that sugars and carbohydrates were not available to humans in high amounts until very recently in the history of humanity - and not until the past few decades to some populations (with uniformly disasterous results to the health of these people).

    This is a great presentation. This is so far removed from the knowledge base of the average Doctor or dietitian. Video's like this one helps as it is delivered by a real scientist. That is if you can get them to watch...

    What makes anyone think that staying in nutritional ketosis long term? D'Agostino may have good reason to not rock the boat too much... Or he is unfamiliar with the fact that - except in contemporary America - the fat and high-fat organ meats are the most highly prized part of animals which are eaten. This was also true in the USA until our food production was industrialized, and later 'fat phobia' was created in the rush to push the consumption of commodity crops- cereal grains and soy.
    Dr. Phinney and the Weston A. Price foundation have videos on YT with more info on ancestral diets - a number of which were clearly within the definition of ketogenic diets.
    TH-cam has presentations by Dr. Stephen Phinney, Dr. Tim Noakes, and Dr. Jeff Volek - who have all done extensive research on nutritionald ketosis AND have each chosen to stay in nutritional ketosis themselves, for as long as 10 years or more.

    Referring to the case report of the ten year old glioblastoma patient, the slide @56:50 shows 100 HBOT treatments over a five month period? Five days a week? I read in a couple other sources to try three times a week, ninety minutes each.

      Yes, as explained by a number of physicians and researches - and reportedly not disputed, and well documented for many decades.

    50:30 Ketogenic diet is a high fat diet.

    • @Jefferdaughter
      @Jefferdaughter 8 ปีที่แล้ว +4

      A ketogenic diet is : low carb, high fat -(LCHF) and moderate protein. Carb levels must remain very low for most people to achieve and remain min ketosis, though the exact level varies from one person to another - and will vary with the amount of physical activity. Dr. Phinney, Dr. Tim Noakes, and others recommend cutting out all sugars and all starches, eating a moderate amount of protein, and lots of quality fats - coconut oil, butter (especially grassfed), cream, animal fats, including poultry and fish. (NOT hydrogenated fats, not corn oil, soy, r canola oil.)
