Very creative way to build Tribal Tribal! I’ve played that type of deck before but it seemed fragile and highly susceptible to board wipes. You’ve solved that here and made the concept even more fun. Looks like I’ll need to work extra hours in the salt mines to cover my mtg card bill.

honestly, i want an alter for these commanders. i want Volo as professor Oak with the pokedex as the token, and a team rocket group chasing him for the haunted one
Really cool deck idea! Not sure if you mentioned it or not but patriarch's bidding is a good safety net for this deck and I believe when the changeling enters again it triggers Volo.
Patriarch's Bidding is always good in tribal decks but Volo's Journal doesn't trigger with creatures entering the battlefield; it triggers from creatures being cast.
I LOVE this deck. Not that it looks budget conscious or anything, but were there any cards you omitted for price related reasons and would add in? Or anything you are considering as an edit? I am building this currently and snapped up the pieces I was missing from your list last night. Very excited to play it!
Thanks! Glad you enjoyed it! Most of the money cards are the lands. You could easily swap them out for budget substitutes. I don't believe in budget decks - especially on TH-cam - since secondary market prices fluctuate so much. Kindred Discovery cost way higher before its reprint in Baldur's Gate, for example. Likewise, a cheap card today could be incredibly expensive tomorrow.

I at least made sure to include the best ones ;) Couldn't saturate it too much with slivers though since I do want to trigger Volo's Journal as often as possible.
This is a cool deck design for volo! The background is a bit scarce tho lol. Considering the "commander commander" and oops all backgrounds decks in brew stews lately. The lords/changeling shell is fascinating and i like the idea of everything having persist and other recursive protectable elements. The majority of my changelings are in my giada and my esix/adrix builds atm. I think ill put volo in esix mainly because im having issues finding haunted one
@@bradengauthier if i can get the single id prefer it, although i like the horrors tribe that is getting more options so i may have to get the precon lol

That's a tall order, not gonna lie. But I can look over the deck to see what (if anything) is worth including here. Especially since I really like this deck.

@@Badassest They also appear in set and collector boosters so finding a single for it shouldn't be an issue.

I built volo/far traveler azorius blink. Super fun and very strong.
That seems interesting. But how does that synergize with Volo? Volo's Journal triggers on creatures being cast, not entering the battlefield...
