Wow! Thanks so much, DenverAlien, for going through this in high quality! I only discovered the EU version of Prince of Persia (which you covered in parts) recently. So not only does it have different cutscenes, 5 stage themes but a few freakin' new Potions as well?! Amazing. So from what I've gathered, the Levels play out like this in the Genesis Version: Prince of Persia 1 Canon (all versions except this one & SNES): Level 1 - 14 (Level 13 connects directly to Level 12- Jaffar, Level 14 is Princess) Prince of Persia 1 Genesis (EU): New Levels are in Levels 6, 7, 12 and 15. Original Levels end up being 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 8, 9, 10, 11, 13, 14, 16 and 17 Level 6 Fat Guard & Level 7 Falling Level moved to Levels 8 & 9
Pretty much, yeah. PoP inspired the creation of a whole genre of games, called "cinematic platformers". Among those were Flashback, Another World, Oddworld: Abe's Oddysee, Heart of Darkness, Blackthorne and a few others.
You can easily do save scumming in this game. Jump into spikes? Just press start, quit the game and rewrite password. You can also memorize levels and then complete them with better results.

Hayatımda oynadığım en güzel oyun;şimdiki grafik efektine boğulmuş oyunlar asla böyle bir klasik olamayacak !!!
The music that played in this video was awesome. Anyone know if OCRemix has gotten their hands on it?
