I just flew out of Chania 2 days ago (back to Canada) and it was a great little airport. Really easy to navigate and very light and calm. Great food options and lots of seating.
I'll be passing trough this airport coming August after previous 3 years landing in heraklion airport, I actually landed on. This airport every time but it was to pick up passengers on the way back to Belgium but this year we stay in agia marina so chania is our destination airport this time
We're in the planning phase of visiting Crete and I wanted to know if arriving at the HER airport what are the options for transportation to the Village Heights Resorts?
Don't know where your hotel is but there's a bus stop in front of airport, there's taxis and many car rentals right in front of the airport terminal.....we always make sure we have bus transfer arranged by travel company were we book our holiday
Just took a look on your holiday location...we actually dropped of people on this location with shuttle bus last summer....we stayed in hotel chersonissos maris and this was a stop on our route, can't really give advice on which bus to take to this exact location....you could take the bus to chersonissos and then take a taxi to village heights, it's a less then 10min drive from chersonissos to village heights , if you take a taxi from airport to village heights it will be quite expensive I think...it's a 30min drive approximately with taxi
Stayed in this region on holiday the last 3 years,...if you like shopping you'll enjoy chersonissos also chersonissos has a good nightlife and many restaurants directly by the small harbor, I can recommend renting a car because there's plenty to see in less then one hour drive from this location, we chose to stay région chania coming August because after 3 years on same location it feels like coming home instead of arriving at holiday destination 😁
Yep - need to mortgage the house for a sandwich at Gregory's. Goody's sell everything individually - there are no meals. So, two burgers, two fries and two drinks costs 30 Euros. A 500ml can of lager is 6 Euros at every counter. But the staff are very friendly, the toilets are very clean and the security and passport control were happy and smiling whenever I've visited so it is a great small airport!
Were are the shuttle busses located? I'm not talking about city bus but the actual transfer busses who take the people directly to the hotels, in heraklion airport it's right in front of airport so you can't mis it but I looked on Google maps and can't really find were these busses are located
i noticed in Greece even the airports have good fresh food and coffee! I personally love greek coffee especially cafe fredo. I love Greece!!
