Ah, how frustrating! Your camera giving up the ghost was a trick, but the deck is certainly a treat! Thanks for persevering Simon and sharing your thoughts with us, I really enjoyed it 💕
Thank you for your perseverance because you are the best! I would definitely buy this if the book had more information about the image references....maybe they will update it - if you hear anything keep us posted...
What a beautiful and fun deck? I love the theme and artwork style. So sorry about the horrible tech' problems though. Extra thanks to you though Simon for persevering and doing this walkthrough again for us. x🙏💕🌺
This deck is so fun! I really appreciate the way that it depicts the different ways that people celebrate Halloween, especially the homemade elements of their decorations and costumes. This one is going on my list! Thank you so much for persevering through the frustration of your camera mishap! 🎃
I’m sorry your camera gave out Simon! Thanks for doing the walk-through a second time 🎃I’ve looked at this deck a lot since it was published, but never committed to buying it…yet 😉 I think it’s a very American deck, with lots of references to movies and tv shows; I don’t even get them all! But it makes me very nostalgic of trick-or-treating when I was really young, sadly it’s quite different now.
Thank you for sharing this Simon. I've seen this deck before and had wondered about getting it, but have decided to stick with my Halloween tarot for now as your points were very interesting and made me realise it isn't right for me at the moment. Thank you :)
Oh what a shame the camera wasn’t filming the first time. This is a very cool deck and I love the backs too, I would edge in orange 😊 I do really like the deck but have decided against getting it. Thank you for a fab walkthrough 😍❤️
I bought these last year after seeing a walkthrough from Jason of Tarot By The Pines. I like the colorful darkness to the deck and the nostalgia it makes me feel, trick or treating in my childhood. Llewellyn does a great job with all their decks, but I seem to find althrough I enjoy looking at their decks, I tend not to reach for them on my shelves. And I can't put my finger on why that is. Particularly themed seasonal decks, I might drag them out once or twice, then put them back into storage for the rest of the year. They don't invite me to use them beyond that. And I think (as nice as they are) I find the big boxes and guidebooks offputting. I think, though I don't find myself often using mass market decks, the ones I'm most apt to pull from are those put out by Lo Scarabeo. The U.S. Games ones are the most offputting to me because of the copyright info. followed by Llewellyn with the big books and boxes. They are quite accessible though, and I think they're probably great for newcomers or less experienced readers. Currently I'm going through a spell of being drrawn to more eclectic indie decks.
Hi Simon…I got this deck when it came out. I edged mine in green it looks good!!!! Purple would too as I have a few decks edged in orange!! I actually got the Halloween tarot at same time ( finally) and it’s actually my favorite Halloween deck don’t know why I put off buying it’s great! Now 2 great seasonal decks!
Thank you for showing these! The backs of the cards look like the ink is running or that there was a printer mishap. I wonder if the people who are the models for the deck are well known in the Tarot community.
I didn't think I was going to like it at first, but this is really well done. Is that the Baron on the 4 of pentacles? Thanks for this walkthrough. It was really fun!
Wow Simon what a deck it's just my cup of tea. Some of the characters are from Shriek and Monsters inc.plud a few other kids films and don't you think the card on the box reminds me of the Halloween film when Jason was a young boy .I love it😊😊
Couldn’t resist and this is such a cool deck , was hoping I’d be like nah cool but not for me. But instead it’s on my list to get. Thanks for the walkthrough simon it’s such a fun deck . Shame like you say it doesn’t reference the stories in the book so well.♥️
SIMON i bought this Deck last year, Such a Fun deck for Halloween plus you can't ever go wrong when Barbara Moore does the Guide books . You mentioned the CHARIOT CARD : Cat in the Hat That's THING 1 and Thing 2 . This is my interpretation of this Card : Thing 1 and Thing 2 Goes into the children's home messes it all up along with the CAT in the Hat . The Cat in the Hat comes in on the Machine He Rides " he's Chariot " it's called " Dynaamic Industrial Renovating Tractormajiagger " or D. I.R. T for Short . Hope this helped . Looking forward to October to get use this Deck Thank you 🥰😘❤️
This is so cute! When I saw the lovers I immediately thought of the Addams Family haha. I wish Llewellyn would make an Addams Family tarot deck!
That’d be cool 😍
Of course it ends in tragedy for Rome and Juliet - so a very appropriate dark choice.

I love a big guidebook as long as it goes into details of the images etc. or really explores the theme in-depth.
Thanks for watching, Robin.

Thanks you for that! The only Dr. Seuss boom I ever read was Green Eggs and Ham! 😝
Hi Simon. These images are beautiful. Thank you for sharing.
Glad you like them! You’re welcome 😍
This deck is on my wishlist.. it looks really fun and intuitive. Like you said it would have been good to know the film or tv references.. ❤
I wonder why the book doesn’t reference?
Another cute Halloween deck. I use the Halloween tarot in October myself. 🎃
That’s a great deck too 😍
Ughhhh camera problems are so frustrating! That moment 😮🙄🤔 Thanks for all you do! 💙
