i have been using fenugreek as a deep conditioner for years, I had no idea it had estrogen in it! Hibiscus reduces estrogen when consumed as a tea, I wonder if it has the same effect topically? I love all your natural recipes, thanks for sharing

Hi she ila gh! Personally, I no longer use Black Strap Molasses. But others who do have got really good results with greys. I have been using onion juice for a while now. This is helping me a lot. Having said that, I am well aware that I will probably go grey at some point. But for now I'm enjoying keeping them to a bare minimum xx
I tried this, absolutely loved the softness and shine, but I experienced a horrible lingering smell, I think from fenugreek.... any ideas please?
That is the fenugreek.
Sorry to hear that! I would put less fenugreek in the mixture next time and maybe add some essential oil like lavender to the mix. I must admit you really need to rinse your hair extremely well after using it. xx

Hi Olivia, I have just made a onion rinse for my hair. I sliced one onion and I put the onion in boiling water. I boiled the onion for half a hour I put the onions s sieve. Then put the onion juice in my spray bottle and I sprayed my hair with the onion water, I massaged into every bit of my hair.. I then put a shower cap over my hair. I will leave the onion juice in my hair as I take a bath for a hour. Could you please me Olivia if I could you this onion juice as a leave-in conditioner? Or if I could use it on edges of my that are very thin daily and then apply my Jamaica Castor on the top of the onion and leave it in? What other could I add to my onion juice grow my hair? Many Thanks ❤
Hi. You can use it as a leave in but are you ok with the odour? Using black Jamaican Castor oil is also great and it will promote more hair growth. Just keep doing what you are doing and be patient. You will see results with consistency.
Hi Olivia, I used the onion juice as leave-in conditioner on my hair on Sunday it was ok I didn't mind the smell. But it made my hair very hard to comb through my hair become very thick. I think I might have to use Aloe vera mixed with water to spray into hair also as leave-in conditioning moisturizer. Thank You Olivia for your helpful advice and also replying to my question.
