I remember trying to unlock "Navigate like Drake" from Sly Cooper 4 many times. As you know, to unlock that trophy, you have to open the map in every single place you visit. And it is surprisingly easy to miss.
The difficulty of Necrodancer's platinum is truly remarkable. As far as I'm aware nothing else is even playing the same sport, let alone in the same ballpark.
String It Together is probably the hardest trophy I’ve ever done. I think I would have written it off as impossible if not for Rosie’s epic noodle stream which showed me it was actually achievable.
I actually have a couple of these trophies. I have Crash 4's Perfectionist and Hollow Knight's Embrace the Void. I spent too long on both of them. TOO LONG! As for an impossible trophy that would fit on this list: Super Meat Boy's Impossible Boy achievement.
Crash 4 is easily the hardest platinum ive earned. Took me 119 hours. When you consider not a second of that was actually grinding, just getting good and trial and error, it puts into perspective how difficult it is. The game down right punched my teeth to the back of my throat with what it was demanding and it took me 3 months. Its my proudest plat, but god was it painful
Love the return of the Friday Feature, Love Ash’s Maths, Love Delsin’s cameo and of course Love Alex being part of this video. He is and always will be PlayStation Access. P.S. Alex, I did the same “technique” for the Ripsnorter too!😅

Yes!! Yes! Before I watched this video, I literally said, there's no way "hail to the king" would not be mentioned. It's the first damn mention!! Lol forget the jump rope...it's cursed. Would it be worse to mess up at 501 or at 999?
That feeling when you are one trophy away from the platinum but the game servers go down :/ Looking at you Knockout city: I got the ps4 version, but the ps5 was far far harder because of the dlc maps and new balls, making the random based trophy even harder
I decided ages ago, I'm too crap to get Trophies. So when I even get a Bronze (even when I'm playing on my Vita....yes i still play on my Vita), i get that warm delighted feeling
The various trophies in the Yakuza and Judgment series that involves finishing the completion list. There's always at least one thing on those lists that stops me getting those trophies.
still can't believe the switch is stuck in the past and doesnt have them. I love chasing trophies but usually only easy to medium ones. Not often I go after super hard ones.
It is once again time to remind Ash that she got me to play hollow knight... And I subsequently platinumed it. Commit to the pain, oh queen of horror. Only through study and practice can you too ascend. Oh and i platted crash 4 too. And you can bet i'm gonna boast about it because why else would i have put myself through that?
Top tip for the Sackboy knitted knight trophy, hit pause between sections. My brain just needed a reset between challenges. Also, time barely matters, I had at least a full minute to spare and went very slow in the carousel section.
Loving hollow knight as much as I do, it hurts knowing I’m simply not good enough for the plat. Makes me think “how can I say it’s one of my favourite games if I don’t have it”.
This cracked me up, I've been working on "My Kung Fu is Stronger" on the PS Vita version, which has 32 characters (not 28). Have a nice stats spreadsheet to look at my progress, and I'm at about 33%.
@sibsama Thanks for the suggestion, but I only want to do it the legit way (I wonder what the completion rate for this plat would be if there was no glitch?) ... I also accidentally made it more difficult for myself by adding an additional boss to the pantheons (maybe I should replay the whole game?) For now, I have made my peace with the fact that I simply don't have the skills for this one lol
So glad to see a trophy Friday Feature! (All of the ones mention hurt my thumbs and brain to think about). Supposedly, prior to the most recent update to Remote Play, you could do Hail To The King trophy in Final Fantasy IX using a laptop and a script running through remote play to autojump. Sadly, the update to Remote Play broke this unless there's a workaround. Let's not forget Valor Grand Cross in Killzone 2, Warhawk Award/Executive Honor/General in Warhawk, and Triumvirate / Overseer / Unstoppable in Uncharted 3: Drake's Deception (PS3 Version). All of those are no longer obtainable and are borderline impossible.

Alien Isolation has a trophy called one shot which requires beating the entirety of the game without dying. Doing it is easier said than done as the xenomorph is very unpredictable and in some of the final chapters two xenomorphs show up at the same time.

After failing for years the only thing that was needed was for the PS4 to release. That way I could have MK9 running on my PS3 in the background accumulating hours with my characters while playing other games on the PS4. The only trophy where you have to play two different consoles at the same time. ;)

Defeating Super Shredder without getting hit is the one trophy between me and the TMNT: Shredder's Revenge Platinum. Even on Easy he still manages to sneak a couple of hits in. One day, one day I'll do it. Or bribe someone else into do it. One of the two.
This year I challenged myself a bit more than usual and I reached my highest peak yet: Mein Leben in Wolfenstein 2. What seemed impossible at first, has resulted in sweet success and two wonderful videos. My journey and a guide for noobs with bad aim (like myself). Now, Tetris Effect and Super Meat Boy are the highest on my «want to, but probably never will unlock». But who knows.
And so i've arrived at the final Friday Feature. Just finished another watch of every single one. Maybe this list will grow by the time i rewatch them all again!
My white whale trophy is from FIFA 15. You had to score a goal with a very specific animation that it was impossible to manually trigger (would only happen at random). I've played almost 1250 hours of that game (dozens of them specifically trying to get the animation to happen) and I haven't even seen the animation, never mind scored with it. It's the only thing keeping me from the platinum. Sadly I think 'String It Together' is going to haunt me similarly for decades to come.
i have the tetris effect and the hollow knight plat, both were very challenging but also very fun. just to get unter the 70 seconds sprint time for 40 lines cleared it took me a full week of nonstop training. also for that tetris ultra mode i learned how to stack t-spins, which was very fun to learn and a new way of playing tetris for me. and hollow knight plat, well. its pain. but also hollow knight is a very fair game and the bossfights are 99% well telegraphed. so its doable!
Ah... So that is Sir Alex of legend. I once thought he never existed. Perhaps brought about by a fever dream by the Access crew's collective subconscious. Here's to Sir Alex's noble exploits and his continued strength. Hurrah!

The only one I've got on that list is the sackboy one! I've managed to platinum the game, at some points in my time trying to get it, I often questioned why am I doing this? does it really matter? but then when I finally had it down after weeks if not months, it felt amazing... I'm not going back for that mortal kombat trophy though!
I tried MK9 shenannigans with leaving the game on while sleeping (and using rubber bands on the controller to move the character while I was away etc.), but eventually just gave up... But I have to say that Bayonetta was probably my favorite game to platinum (as well as my first): there was quite reasonable requirements for platinum, but there were still hidden bosses and challenge missions outside of trophy requirements. I finished those also despite not acquiring any trophies as the game was just so blast to play.
2:56 I think the most I ever done was 100 or so, but at least I got a cool Cactaur card for my trouble I bet NickAR could do it, he has a habit of completing the hardest platinum runs in existence
I know this is a more recent one. But I can’t unlock the ‘Real Deadeye’ trophy in re4 remake. I completed all challenges except the last one that uses all the weapons. What’s worse is that I rage quitted and lost some of the progress I had on the other ones. 😅 I could probably get it if I try harder or look up a guide.

There is a simple Invincibility Glitch using the Crystal Dash and Dream Gate portal if you wanna get that Plat.

I have the FFIX platinum, but Hail to the King was mentally draining to the point where I almost gave up gaming altogether.
The only one I've got on that list is the sackboy one! This is why I just like playing the game and don’t stress about getting trophies. It’s not worth losing my sanity 🤪
