  • Do some leaders handle power better than others? Nelson Mandela and Robert Mugabe were both guerrilla fighters who became heads of state. But what was it that made them both handle power in completely different ways?

Mandela was indeed a good man bt some hw a European Countries puppet, he would compromise with the colonizers coz he wanted a shoulder in the end thats why Americans loved him coz they could use him some how bt not Mugabe, and the hate him. Mugabe was loyal to the whole Africans and black ppl and he would stand for the truth if you watch his speeches and he wasnt afraid of anyone though somehow he was a dictactor. After all they are both our Heroes and we love them

For all his unpopularity and bad press, he left his people with land, we can't say the same for South Africans and you will rarely hear of racism in Zimbabwe and you cant say the same for SA. His stance on crime is unparalleled as is proven by the rampant criminal activity in Zim now after his death.

The reason there is no racism in Zimbabwe is because it is no longer a multiracial state. This is to the detriment of all of the people black and white who still regard that country as home. Let's hope SA learns from its neighbours mistakes and takes a different path. United we stand divided we fall 🇿🇼

Mandela served one 5yr term as a transition leader in a coalition government & retired. Mugabe the British knight served almost 40yrs and within his first term he was already committing atrocities (genocide and political violence). He inherited a prosperous albeit unequal country and left it as junk status. The land you speak of 40yrs on it’s still unsettled & issued on patronage. There is a $3.5B Bill to pay. It was not until the War Veterans were threatening to dethrone him that the chaotic land grap was started some 22yrs after Mugabe had been in power and bulk of those years effectively running a one party state.

Yes, and he killed at least 20 000 Zimbabweans in Matebelelands and the Midlands in the early to mid-80s in Gukuruhandu.

Robert Mugabe was the most learned President in the African continent, bold to stand for African rights and was not afraid of anyone even the whites who had colonised Africa because of their greedy. I am proud of Mugabe in comparison to Mandela. The reporter is of this skit must do a further research. poor work Mr Reporter

They both went to Fort Hare university. Mugabe also studied law and had 7 learned (not honorary) degrees. Mugabe started by preaching national unity and reconciliation from the beginning and we even had a year dedicated with the theme of reconcilistion. He did good and bad.
