Yeah one of the worst things in life as you grow older. To watch as family, friends and acquaintances leave for new things or die and one day you look around and realize how empty things are and that only you are left.
It is why I try and spend as much time with my parents who are in their early 70s as I can these days. One day they will not be here and then you wish you had more memories with them.

Tomorrow is one of my co-workers last day. He's originally from Melbourne Florida but came to Orlando for UCF. He's now graduated and going back home to his family. He's made work fun and not so boring. He was the last of what we call the original stock crew, everyone one else left and it feels weird not to recognize the same guys. But I know this feeling to well, it feels weird and kinda sad to see co-workers who have been there since your first day leave off for better opportunities.

Check Mate I look at it like this. Ron, a character who doesn’t like change or being around people having to adapt to a situation with it. He knew them for years and thought if had to deal with the change, he would rather have him be with the people he’s use too in a job that is still for the government. That way it’s still somewhat the same, the job would just be a little bit different.

". . . and then you took April." That's the line that drives in the first nail and lets you know the rest of it is going to be nothing but pain and suffering. Ron and April's relationship was always one of the best on the show despite (or perhaps because of) how understated it was most of the time, and the heaviness in Ron's voice when he says "you took April" just lets you know how badly that one in particular hurt. Losing Garry/Jerry/Larry/Terry he can deal with, but April? God. That hurts.

Eh, not as tough as it seems. It happens with classmates and workmates most often. You have no sexual nor romantic desires for them, but you work closely with them, see them 8 hours a day, and help each other out, maybe chat about a few shared interests (like breakfast food for Leslie and Ron) Friendships naturally develop from that. Think of it as like a close sibling or cousin.

One of the best part of this damn good show: the manliest of all characters delivering the most heart melting story. Heartbreaking. And its Ron Swanson! 😢

As a film maker, this entire scene was, genius.
    SCENE BREAKDOWN:
Ron is always the one who stood himself standing tall, but now he sits down. Literally looking up to the person who he looked up to .
The room, is empty, the lights are dark in a cooler darker color, Compared to the warm tones the room did have the first few seasons.
Ron is the only object wearing warm colors , behind the dark cooler color,
Meaning he's still stuck in the past of those warm environments.
His body language shows he's not the same Ron as we used to know in the past, he's nervous, weak, and intimidated.
Whoever wrote this scene, deserves all the recognition.

The United States could learn a lot from Leslie and Ron. We are so divided on everyone freaking issue. We demean the side that doesn't agree with us. We don't listen to the other side's arguments, we don't have empathy, we don't look at the issue from the other perspective. But here are two exact opposites finding a way to co-exist. They both made each other better people while not losing the essence of who they are as human beings. Well done, Parks & Rec.

Sit down folks. I got some story for y'all.
5 years ago (after graduation) I started working for a bank. My actual plan was just to spend a year then go to law school after. I have no intentions of making friends. Just plain work. Then I met this group. Most of us are fresh grads and has the world on each and everyone's hands. We bonded every weekends and had numerous legendary stories. I met the love of my life in this group of friends as well. Then as years go by, one by one they left the company for a better opportunity. 5 years later boom I'm the only one left. We still meet atleast once a year. But the look Ron showed when he looked outside then realized that he doesn't know any of these fools striked me the most. I'm on the verge of resigning from my current job. I'm currently taking masters. But dam it I just miss the workplace when the gang was complete. I understand that we must move on and continue with our lives but tbh i just miss being with the friends whom i care the most.

I mean that as praise, as Poehler nailed her role. Ron Swanson is one of TV's best creations, and no one could have portrayed him better than Nick.
