Empty delivery van and no securing forward, sides and build them on height. You cant do more wrong there. Atleast use wood sheets or securing them at wall on one side.
Having a solar top to help give free range/range extension would be a huge bonus in places like the West/Midwest where cold mornings hurt battery range and would give free topping off charge on days when the vehicles aren't being used.
One issue I could imagine however is that charging lithium batteries in the cold can permanently damage them, so if it's cold enough to limit range it's probably cold enough to cause damage if charging. I could be wrong though.
