I started a randomizer immediately after watching this VOD. I got Cresselia as my starter and Darkrai as my partner, and we’re currently trying to get through Apple Woods, but all our moves have horrible accuracy so even though we’re strong we keep dying to things like Wormadam and Delibird 😩 Cresselia also has Bad Dreams so she wakes up every sleeping Pokemon immediately. And Grovyle is Burmy
I’ve never seen some of this dialogue before. Never knew it was a thing because I always got through first try. I really hope you continue this and that Dialga and Darkrai are actually something super nonthreatening.
A part of me wishes I sucked more, because a lot of the dialogue that is easily skipped is quite funny. One of my favourite examples is how the Pokemon who runs the dojo congratulates you on beating the game, and how you're their proud students. But if you never enter the dojo before this point, they still congratulate their own teachings, but then goes "... You say you've don't remember ever training here?.......That's not important in the grand scheme of things, is it?"
@@_Aidelweiss_ Seems other people also had this happen to them, even if they train there. Maybe you need to do it frequently, or maybe I was just wrong, and they say it regardless. I should probably test this at some point, since I have a file that is somewhat close to Darkrai..
I randomized it one time, and Darkrai was a Bidoof... not very threatening, until I remembered it's moves were also randomized. ...It had Spacial Rend and Roar of Time.

I absolutely love that all the regular starters final evos have fully fleshed out textbox reaction sprites but you rarely ever get to see them for the later evos in normal play cus its late game. Typhlosion has such good goofy expresions ❤️
People in the SkyTemple community are creating custom sprites and portrait sets for post gen-4 Pokémon so they can be in the game. The amount of dedication and the quality of their work is amazing.

Pokémon Legends Arceus has now overtaken Pokémon Mystery Dungeon Explorers of Sky as the best Pokémon Mystery Dungeon game of all time and also the best Pokémon game of all time.

This is my favorite game of all time and the last time I played it was ages ago, so thank you for letting me have the privilege to experience it with you and everyone else watching! All the explorers games are fun to play, but they aren't the best spectator games. Each dungeon, there is simply just wandering and combat. Go watch a wargame D&D table (lots of combat, not much social) and you get the same problem. The wackiness of a randomizer makes this easier to be content, compared to base EoS, especially for someone who knows how to play.

@@magicball3201 Pokémon Legends Arceus, just like all other Pokémon Mystery Dungeon games are fun to play, actually, but like you just said, there is simply just wandering and combat, but what makes Pokémon Legends Arceus special is that it contains open world elements, instead of being multi-floor maze-like structures, dungeons in this game are huge open single-floor structures, so instead of trying to search stairs just to go to the next floor, you can just go anywhere in the dungeon whenever you want to and at any time, and the recruiting mechanic has also been changed so that instead of knocking out a Pokémon to have a chance at recruiting the Pokémon, you just throw a Pokéball at a Pokémon to have a chance at recruiting the Pokémon, and that changes everything, because there's now also a lot of throwing to recruit a Pokémon.

The Typhlosion walking instead of sleeping is because the cutscene sleep isn't the same animation as normal sleep, and the game only gave cutscene sleep animations for the basic starters. So it defaults to the walking animation.
The shop keepers kinda make a little sense, I could see Nidorina/Nidorino siblings running a shop, and Victrebel looks like a bag so that'd make sense for storage.
There's something about a shy typhlosion that just scream himbo energy. I love the idea of himbo typhlosion especially with the end game where you can hatch your own rescue team members and that by technicality made you married to your partner as you both became parents. Though, saying "hatching your own rescue team members" out loud made it sounds like child slavery.
These games were my childhood man, I for whatever reason never got into the man pokemon games but these I would spend so much time on and figuring everything out, so cool to see this

I'm only at the start of meeting Dusknior (I wish I put monster house and stickiness spawns lower because they spawn almost every floor and I can barely use items, I am in Hell...) Also I thought Latios was a 100% male pokemon, but I'm nb?? I love it lmao. Gonna list some of the randomized characters for fun below: Nincada the Guildmaster. Team Skull is Minum and Castform led by Flaffy. Groundon was a Milktank, Uxie was Mudkip. In the Bidoof ep, Jirachi was Cyndaquil. In the Igglybuff ep, Igglybuff is Poliwirl and Armoldo is Carvannah. Grovyl is Ekans, and Dusknoir is Glacion.
Imagine the start of a randomized playthrough of Pokémon Legends Arceus, the best Pokémon Mystery Dungeon game and arguably also the best Pokémon game in general : Instead of reciving the options of being either Rowlet, Cyndaquil or Oshawott, you may receive the options of being either Bidoof, Starly or Shinx in one playthrough, but in another, you may receive the options of being either Turtwig, Chimchar or Piplup instead, although the options you will recieve in reality are much wilder than in the examples shown.
The best part of this Randomizer is seeing the NPCs that don’t look like what they represent, such as the clefairy being a bad guy. As well as seeing the Emotion looks from Pokémon that you never get to see because you don’t get to evolve at all until every single one of the emotion cutscenes are over.

I have an ongoing Skytemple game as a Medicham with Haunter as my partner. We also have a Deoxys as Diglett with Combusken as their dad, Sceptile is Wigglytuff (and apparently sceptile evolves from rotom in this universe, according to the special episode) , and Ferraligatr is Chatot. We also just have… two Giratina chilling in our version of treasure town, abandoned dock.

For someone who has never seen this game, this seems mostly accurate.
Earth Power is so powerful it's basically an instant loss if the enemies have it while you're in a large room.

Fun fact there's a romhack of EoS called Explorers of Hell that makes your partner pokemon a serial killer. The explorers games are so good

I have an ongoing Skytemple game as a Medicham with Haunter as my partner. We also have a Deoxys as Diglett with Combusken as their dad, Sceptile is Wigglytuff (and apparently sceptile evolves from rotom in this universe, according to the special episode) , and Ferraligatr is Chatot.
We also just have… two Giratina chilling in our version of treasure town, abandoned dock.
Side note, one of the dungeons is literally called Ordinary Street.
