tbh Blinding Light shouldn't even be on the list "but it's the most s-" it doesn't really matter, it's known by a mass of the internet, that's all, it's not big in any other sense
@@chunkymonkey259 I don't think you read my comment, it's big in numbers (idk how) but it's no big deal, not as big as the ones in the video and others that were missing
@@aliciaoliveira9087 then how would you define big then? If it’s the most streamed song on Spotify history and a diamond certified and you say it’s not “big”, then what’s your qualification of a “big”??🤣
For those commenting about whats missing. The music made by all human existance cant be placed into a 100 song list. Just enjoy the video for what it is and dance and sing along.
When people talked about how shocking it was that Queens catalog sold for over a billion dollars (more than double than some of the next highest artists), I justified it with the following sentence and this list proves my point. Queen has more ‘everybody knows that song’ songs than any other rock band past or present. In fact when you think about it, they might be second only to MJ for most songs by any artist period in that regard.
Love story deserved a place I think... After all these years it's still relevant among the newer generation while many of the songs in the list faded over time
Here’s some more recognized songs… Mambo no 5 (Lou Bega), Sultans of Swing (Dire Straits), Nothing Else Matters (Metallica), Down Under (Men at Work), Bailando (Enrique Iglesias), Here I Go Again (Whitesnake) ❤
I didn’t know about 8 of them and then another 15 I very vividly remember. I am baffled that See You Again is at 99. How is it not much higher? That should be on top 10. The music video is literally one of the most viewed videos on TH-cam. Pretty sure out of all these it has the most views (Bohemian Rhapsody has 1 billion whole See You Again has over 6 billion). The fact it’s not in the top 10 or even top 5 is just ridiculous. It’s definitely more recognizable then some of the songs that came after it.
@@davidstratton696 It's not ranked by views but how recognisable it is. Despacito is on her aswell which has more views. There are other streaming services and some of these are known because of memes and movies aswell.
@@ChiIIi... I’m sorry but if it has more views then it’s more recognizable. Especially with how much view’s compared to all the others. It’s not just a few thousand more views we are talking billions of more views. Billons!!! Like c’mon. See you again is far more recognizable then some of the ones that came after. It should be in the top 5 at least. It makes absolutely zero sense for it to be 99.
@@davidstratton696 That's insane to think see you again is nowhere close to the likes of Billie Jean. And while views say something it's not even close to all. Radio, sales, Spotify listens, memes all of these things influence this. 'See you again' wasn't even voted on the fan version of this. You could ask a random person on the street to sing O want it that way and they would definitely know what you're talking about but most people could not even come further then the line 'When I see you again wooohoohoo' for when I see you again. You might like the song incredibly much and listen to it often but not everyone else does
@@ChiIIi... What do u mean people don’t listen to it often? It literally has so many views like what? How is something that has so many views so low on a list of most recognized songs? More views equal it being more recognized. It’s not that hard to understand. It’s literally out there in the world for everyone to see how popular the song is with how many views it has. Billions of more views!!! Billions!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! It’s not insane at all to think it should be much higher on the list. Especially when almost 10 of these I have never heard of before.
Picking 100 songs is a difficult task, putting them in order is impossible. This is a good list of songs, though I might disagree with some of the placements. For example, Eagles' Hotel California, in my opinion, should be higher in the list. I think most would agree that Queen's Bohemian Rhapsody is #1. Overall, an excellent job. Very good to listen to. Thanks for creating this.
Shame, "Get Lucky" deserves to be here over "See You Again" at very least. "See You Again" just doesn't feel too special to be among the most recognisable songs and I thought Boogiehead loved Daft Punk.
Also, no "What Is Love", "Barbie Girl", "Blue (Da Ba Dee)", "Dragostea Din Tei", "Axel F", "Hot Stuff", "Don't Speak", "Basket Case", "Losing My Religion" or even "Africa".
@@shocksystem8675 Fair, but half of them are just meme songs 😂and "see you again" is recognizable because of Paul Walker from fast and the furious, so be fair my friend.

Great picks. Some are way too low like All Star for example. That’s very well known especially these days as it’s used in several videos and commercials. Fantastic list but i would argue there are two categories of songs that are even more recognisable than the ones on this list. The first category is festive songs such as Happy Birthday, All I Want For Christmas Is You, We Wish You A Merry Christmas, Jingle Bells etc. The second category is traditional singalongs or nursery rhymes such as Mary Had A Little Lamb, When The Saints Go Marching In, Oh My Darling Clementine etc.
if anyone tries to use this list to say that "MoDERn mUsIc iS tRaSh" i swear to god they are even more stupid than before. the reason most songs on this list are old is because they had time to establish themselves as classics. in 2070 im sure a lot of music from today will be iconic too.

You should make another fan voted one, due to the increased input since the last version and the VERY drastic differences in the results now.
I couldn't have got into this list by myself. Huge work!
This list is the GOAT! Loved every second! Thanks for compiling this iconic list and giving me a smile.
I think Stairway to Heaven and Dream On should be rated higher but of course Queen just must take the first spot, as they do deserve it
Not many things are more satisfying than seeing “Blinding Lights” on one of these videos!
Totally agree, also it should be top 50 AT LEAST
tbh Blinding Light shouldn't even be on the list "but it's the most s-" it doesn't really matter, it's known by a mass of the internet, that's all, it's not big in any other sense
@@aliciaoliveira9087It was quite literally the biggest song of 2020.
Another great video, as expected! 😊
8:03 every person in britian just died a bit lol
And then 15:01 fixed everything lol
When people talked about how shocking it was that Queens catalog sold for over a billion dollars (more than double than some of the next highest artists), I justified it with the following sentence and this list proves my point.
Queen has more ‘everybody knows that song’ songs than any other rock band past or present.
In fact when you think about it, they might be second only to MJ for most songs by any artist period in that regard.
I still think they're more popular than MJ tbh
@@Ozryl Mj is the most famous music artist worldwide and it ain’t close cope

Love story deserved a place I think... After all these years it's still relevant among the newer generation while many of the songs in the list faded over time
I may not agree with the full list, but hats off for the amazing compilation!
BANGER AFTER BANGER
Im surprised "Welcome to the jungle - Guns n' Roses" didnt make the list. That song is iconic
The other vid from 1 year ago has both featured on the same channel
Queen is awesome, Freddie had the most unforgettable voice
Here’s some more recognized songs… Mambo no 5 (Lou Bega), Sultans of Swing (Dire Straits), Nothing Else Matters (Metallica), Down Under (Men at Work), Bailando (Enrique Iglesias), Here I Go Again (Whitesnake) ❤
I think Master of Puppets is quite recognized
Love you Michael, you are always the best❤️🔥👑
putting smooth criminal so low is criminal
It's pretty smooth too
Take On Me at 45 is even worse😭
New all but 5 of them. Good job
15:45 oh. I missed queen
This list is better than most videos like this!! 🙌🏽
Honestly, other than some placements, this list is awesome!
14:24 is!! 🔥🔥

Still no mention of mr blue sky :(
No Billy Joel either...
Fr 😔
I love Mr blue sky I'm sad it wasn't on here 😞
Picking 100 songs is a difficult task, putting them in order is impossible. This is a good list of songs, though I might disagree with some of the placements. For example, Eagles' Hotel California, in my opinion, should be higher in the list. I think most would agree that Queen's Bohemian Rhapsody is #1. Overall, an excellent job. Very good to listen to. Thanks for creating this.
counted and 31 songs i do not recognize! def need to listen to more of these classics haha. also, no dreams by fleetwood mac?
Welcome to the black parade is the bohemian rhapsody of the 2000's, disserves top 20 at least
No Daft Punk songs?!
What a shame: he has such an iconic theme!
