I guess I'm missing something couldn't see the brackets in your build list. I have little L type brackets that have the 2.5mm hole for shocks on one end and a flat side that I'm thinking could go into the leaf spring holes? I give it a try. Thanks
Hey, great video, I bought some metal upgrades around 3 years ago, and I abandoned the project and I want to start it again. I forget how complicated some little details are. Thanks for you videos. I'm interested on the set of tools you use at 2:22, I have the Philips screw driver but I need to get one of those hex socket.
I’m flipping the shock upside down to be able to mount it as close as possible to the mount and also putting most of the weight of the shock down by the axles.
@@anthonyesquivel5863 it’s actually for looks. I liked the look of the internal spring shock but the ones I put on did end up being better than my other shocks.
I love these cars, got 2 for my boys but this build series made me get one. How to you get the brass adapters on? You got metal but mine are plastic axles and they definitely didn't want to go on. maybe mine are super cheap but it's literally hex peg in round hole. Nice build ill be watching
Thanks. Glad you are checking out the build. The adapters have 2 grub screws that you tighten on the flat part of the hex axles. So even though the hole is round you still tighten to a flat side of the axle preventing the axle from spinning inside the adapter. Don’t forget loctite or the grub screw will keep loosening up.
Yeah I just looked those up and they would work too. I already ordered 1/14 scale Tamiya drive shafts and will be putting them on this weekend since they just got delivered.
@@ReadytoRunRC 👍 sounds good I'm really excited so far iv bought axles wheels and recently spent alot of money trying to buy certain paint color for it so this will definitely help the build tremendously
Coming along nicely! Really enjoying this build so far. Keep up the good work
Thanks! Glad you are enjoying the series so far.

Looks awesome…very interesting build 👍👍
Yes it does look cool. Not sure what I’m doing so basically winging it.
Awesome mod work on your wpl my friend! Really enjoy watching. Liked & subbed! Keep up the good work😁👍🏼
Thank you! I have some more with this build on the way.
@@ReadytoRunRC Looking forward to your update for this wpl my friend😁👍🏼
how about a spacer to move that shock out a little to clear the shock body?
I’m flipping the shock upside down to be able to mount it as close as possible to the mount and also putting most of the weight of the shock down by the axles.
@@ReadytoRunRC I see you got away from coilovers too. Was that to keep it close to the frame or better performance from the other shocks?

Is there away to use 110scale tc wheels on those diffs

Hi what was the length of the links after you adjusted them from 75 and 85
U can try using mn78 driveshaft..it was longer than mn99/wpl..
Yeah I just looked those up and they would work too. I already ordered 1/14 scale Tamiya drive shafts and will be putting them on this weekend since they just got delivered.
Can you please tell me what hardware you used to attach the lower shock mounts to the axels?
Are u talking about the link?
I used 2.5mm screws. The kit I have is linked in the video description
Way cool stuff, RTR.
Glad you like!
Wow.. What is the length of the shock
70mm
Hey mate, nice build. Just curious did you use loctite when spinning the lower links out? Mine seem to come loose easily :)
@@OgPumpkinSlayer thanks! Yes I put some on. I had the same problem with them spinning themselves.
@@ReadytoRunRC legend! I'll be adding some this arvo then :)
What size shocks did u use
70mm
Where do I get those links from?
From the link in the video description
I’m following this to the end brother. Giving me ideas for mine
Thanks for coming along on this ride so far.
Where did you get the links bud?
Link for the links is in the video description
That's a link for the red ones
@@vhrte49 ok. For some reason that was one I missed. I updated it now.
