Public schools should offer native American language classes. Imagine knowing Apache or Navajo or Cherokee and the pride that comes with knowing an American original.

I have a small percentage of apache blood, although when i see old pictures of pure apache i see my sharp features in many of their faces and i tan like all get out lol. Im 57 yrs old and decided i want to learn more about it. I looked up the language and read words but never heard it spoken. Its actually pleasing to the ear, unlike many ancient languages such as those in asia and africa that sound terrible to my ears.

I’ve never heard Apache spoken before. I can hear that it’s related to Navajo. I didn’t expect it to sound so beautiful. Amazing! Thank you for sharing your language with us. Given the history of the US and it’s genocidal policies against the Indigenous peoples of North America, the fact that we have been given the privilege and gift of hearing this is an amazing feat of perseverance in and of itself. Thank you.
