Just wanted to add that while performing any type of mechanicing, I've found the one thing that really helps is knowing and using the half a dozen "power words" that I learned from watching my Daddy work on things. Periodically throwing a wrench as far as possible can be helpful also, though only if you have a young assistant to retrieve it afterwards. Thanks!
@@donmichaelcorbin4417 Your welcome! I have since not used the sound effect, but maybe should bring it back as it is a attention grabber. Some videos a young assistant in a bikini or very low cut tip works, but no younger woman will have me and my wife is a bit shy when exposing her bosoms in public!
Just loosen the bolt going through the pulley wheel. Usually to loosen the bolt you turn it on these the opposite of normal bolts. So to loosen, your turn like you are tightening it. (Clockwise) I think this video of mine explains it: th-cam.com/video/0dKCCifrRwU/w-d-xo.html
Hey Mark so I used your video to follow along with the same process and change my idle pulley and the belt. Once I turned it on it sounds like something is squeaking. Would it be that maybe the belt isn’t properly sitting?
Possibly the belt is not in the pullies properly. It could also be that the the belt is not facing the right way, not upside down, but left to right, if you removed the belt completely.
Lost tension on the belt. (They get weak over time) Also, the wheel can seize. Symptoms of loose tensioner can be squealing, belt falling off, weird belt wear.
@@donmichaelcorbin4417 awe, your too kind. Thanks. I will use this towards some new tool for the channel! You can maybe better clean out the grease and even spray it with brake clean, then dry it out before adding grease.

Tackling this tomorrow- thanks for the video!
Thanks!
Thanks for the Coffee money! I appreciate it very much. Hope the video saved you some time. More videos to come on this truck.
How do you take off just the bearing? Is it a hard task or a special tool required?

Why would you need to change it..? What are the symptoms of a bad tensioner..??

Hope it goes well J L. The hardest part is the height of the fenders/radiator. Need to stand on something safe, or be tall like me to reach over!
@@unclemarksdiyauto I have a mini step I made for when I changed the plugs a few weeks- only 5’10 so it’s a reach for me indeed. Thanks again
@@JL-zr8dm I am 5' 17.5" Lol.
Thanks!
