tip: this only works when watermarks are slightly transparent
I think slightly transparent watermarks are common cause it’s more difficult to be removed by heal or content aware tools
So when they're not transparent this trick won't work. Congratulations. you figured out context.
@@Alacritous hey! just a heads up, in the future, instead of acting like a pretentious asshole, just dont leave a comment :)

🙏
except this only works if you have one of them on a perfect solid background like that 😭
The guy in this video also voted for Trumpy Bear and licked his poo off his orange thighs.
Perfect solid white background
And that's exactly why watermarks are algorithmically altered in a unique and invisible way. It looks normal and repetitive, but there are small and indistinguishable differences in the watermark shape all over the place. Basically none of the watermark image you see is an exact copy of some another within that image, even if it appears so. That makes it immune to this technique. However even if it doesn't completely get rid of it, you can still use some spot healing brushes to clear any remaining disrutancies. The thing is that that will actually alter the pixels so it's more noticeable.
Discrutancies.... do people bother trying anymore? Lmao
You can still do it individually for each spot like he did.
@@grekygrek he wrote that whole thing out and THAT'S what you got out of? What're you trying 😮💨
And don’t forget all the inconsistencies introduced by compression artifacts
You can still recreate it 100% exactly and copy paste it over itself. Works somehow good I think
tip: they can sue you if you use the picture for commercial purposes
how would they know i haven't paid for it?
@@toddhowardfr When you buy stock footage you get a license or certificate. I don't know the English term. There are some crazy cases where they sued for a lot of money.
@TechXplore thanks :)
@@softecat2123 no that’s how you get caught really easily, as the metadata is now linked with Facebook and you also lost half the quality of the photo due to compression, it is WAYYY easier to just open up gimp or photoshop and change it there

Alt title: how to pirate watermarked photos.
alt alt title: how to commit a crime in photoshop
@OwO ok
@@rawruwucutiepie do you... Know what a crime is. Crimes are offences against the government, things that get you sent to jail. A civil offence, on the other hand, is between two entities, in this case you and the stock image company. You can get sued for using the images commercially, but definitely not arrested. And just having a pirated copy probably wouldn't even constitute a lawsuit.
@@rawruwucutiepie its perfectly fine as long as you are not using it for commercial purposes
Piracy is based
I mean, this is great if you have an only transparent gray watermark, and a portion of picture containing the entire thing, that's also on a perfectly white background.
Good luck ever getting this to work for real.
another way : levels > move the sliders to black > select color rang (select black) > select similar > fill content aware fill
i think the whole point was to avoid content aware fill and get the real image pixels lol
Artists who don’t want their art to be stolen want to know your location.
Maybe stop plastering your ugly watermarks all over your art and people will stop removing them. ROFL

Sadly, it only works on semitransparent watermarks with a watermark over an area with a constant value, but still a really useful tip. I guess it can be adapted by using edge detection and making a mask out of that selection if there is no area with a constant value.
Tip: This blending option works when the background is white only.

I always thought the best way to remove is to actually owning the rights to what you use.
There are People Who actually buy photos online?
To the people saying it's illegal to use copyrighted images, yes obviously, but there are plenty of reasons to do this especially an amateur who isn't publishing their work anywhere. If you just wanna make something fun that doesn't have watermarks and don't have money just lying around it's helpful.
This is beautiful. 10/10
😍😍😍
Only works when watermark is 50% grey
Yes
99% of watermarks are like that
Watermarks are there to deter you from stealing the image (and to indicate where you can purchase the rights from). Removing the watermarks doesn't give you the right to use the image
Photoshop on the interwebs is free and then using it to get rid of watermarks on paid images is also free. Tag team score! Whoops there it is! Tag team!
I copied this image and tried your method, only the initial watermark was successful。why the other watermarks were not successfully removed

Yeah nah thats long bro
What if there's no clean pattern to start with? Say I have an image with fine details and big letters written all over in a diagonal. Would watermark removal work?... without leaving observable trace?
Well done ❤
this is why i watermark images with a gradient colour, at an angle, and only once
Thanks now I know how to circumvent it
@@ContinuedOak i'd like to see you try! the gradient especially makes it very difficult to get an exact match on the colours, even if you have the shape perfect.
As someone who is trying too figure out how too circumvent techniques like this video, you mean you gradient the watermark itself? And it works well?
@@ContinuedOak good luck with that thief there are generally other repercussions to keep Jack holes like yourself from stealing things!! Consent is important!
@@splash6267 yeah, generally just put a light gradient sheen over the image using the watermark as a mask. of course the gradient should be at another random angle too. then just turn down the opacity and choose a layer blend mode that looks good visually
the theory is that unless they can match the gradient perfectly, they're always going to have leftover colour from the watermark unless there's a technique I haven't heard of

This only works when you have the actual image as a layer without any watermarks, then a separate layer where the watermarks are that you created just for this video.
They are not separated layers
Pretty genius
Omg ypu are genius😃 I will use it to any textures😆👍
That only works if at least 1 watermark is completely on white or transparent background. Besides: it's piracy
Background colour doesn't matter. What matters is the opacity of the watermark.
The last part is the best part.
