Vectorman can best be described as a precursor to Disney and Pixar's Wall-E; both franchises involve human civilization fleeing the Earth in the distant future due to excessive pollution, leaving robots to clean up their mess. In my opinion, Vectorman did the concept better for several reasons. Prior to them turning against him, Vectorman was assisted by other Orbots in cleaning the Earth, hence why it looks half-decent in the game, Vectorman's villain was a master-orbot-turned-evil-dictator when a working nuclear missile was attached to his head, and Vectorman single-handedly takes on every enemy he comes across. Sadly, Vectorman only had two games and never really evolved beyond the Genesis era. His third game was planned for the Saturn, and then the PS2, but it never saw the light of day. Since Sega is giving new games to some of its older IPs (namely Streets of Rage 4 and Alex Kidd in Miracle World DX), I hope someday they give Vectorman his long-awaited third game in the series (that, and Ristar the Shooting Star's long-awaited second game).
Yeah, I see always do see the comparison between VectorMan and Wall-E's stories. I wish the PS2 coulda a 3rd game installment, hopefully if we're lucky we might get another chance with the next gen consoles today. But due to it only having a cult following over the last decade, I doubt it it's still be nice though.
I’m only 15 but I’m facilitated by older games they are my thing. I have this game for my Genesis and let me tell you the first game isn’t easy but it is Gina fun the original is one of the best looking games for the SEGA Genesis

Alex Kidd Ips were bought by a spanish game company. So the future of alex relies on them not Sega

From what I learned, Blue Sky Software was working on Vectorman 3, but it was then shut down in 2001.
